I placed an order for this item and as it arrived I went to replaced my factory radio with a single din radio an lo and behold it DID NOT FIT AT ALL…. It was much larger than they described…. Horrible

I am sure this kit would be an excellent kit for the stall of an aftermarket double-din stereo in my 06 Zephyr but it doesn't fit. The description, even on Metra's website, fails to acknowledge that a regular non-navigation stereo is not compatible with the kit. The mounting brackets on the kit aren't in the correct locations to mount to the bezel and you cannot attach the radio to the factory brackets with the kit's mounting hardware. In short - if you have a "Premium Stereo w/o navigation" in your 06 zephyr (I am assuming 07-08 MKZ also) then this kit will not work. I had to cut the upper bezel and create some mounting points to get my radio to fit. Great product, just not great for this application. ... show more
