the stereo works great , it plays dvds it works with a usb and micro hard drive it plays cds , i installed this into my 2001 f250 super duty work truck i had to use a file to nock off some edges so it would fit i did my research and got the right adaptors so it went in super easy , and 1 note is take the wire thats labelled for the break pedal or shifter switch and run it straight to ground on a piece of metal under the dash then you can watch dvds and see the images for albums at any time if not you wont be able to do anything because it locks down your screen for safety rules , just ground that one wire and it works fine , also it is what you expect the touch screen is like a cell phone with a thick protector on it you have to touch it slowly and precise but it does work fine , the only complaint i have is the volume knob is laggy whenever you turn it up or down it takes a couple of seconds for it to catch up to what you did and can blast your ears if not careful but the remote seems to change the volume on the fly other than that its a good stereo for the price

The product details were confusing as part of the specs said it would not fit my '99 Ford F250 but the Amazon site said it would. The kit was priced fair enough I took a chance. As it turned out the side panels that mount the deck did fit after some dash modification to free up enough space to fit the stereo (nothing to do with the mounting plates) but the trim pieces do not fit. Luckily the stereo looks great without the trim pieces so overall I'm happy.

Well...the actual mounting pads work fine enough, a bit loose on the clips though, allowing for some play. The "frame" or whatever they call it that is supposed to fill the gaps around the edges between the head unit and the dash assembly was completely unusable. I tried both of the frames included in the package in every conceivable way, but it just wasn't gonna happen. Luckily, the gaps are almost unnoticeable. To solve the clip looseness I just folded up some cardstock and wedged it underneath the head unit and pushed it back out of view. Bottom line, you can make it work with a little improvisation, but find something better if you can.

The plastic side mounting panels work perfectly. The "bezels" or face plates, neither one of them, worked as designed. I just cut the mounting ears off and ground the remainder of the ears off until the face plate was flat or flush. Place the face plate over the installed radio and the dashboard trim piece holds it on just fine. You will have to cut out the top portion of your factory dash for any double din to fit. Use one of the face plates for a temple to start your cutting. Pretty darn easy. Looks and holds like a factory install in a 2001 f150 supercrew xlt.

This dash kit might work. It’s so close to being right for my 2002 Ford F150 that I might be able to get it to look good, I’m still working at it. Right now, I’ve destroyed one of the trim pieces, have the other one superglued to my double din radios bezel, but the way it’s secured behind the HVAC control unit pushes the whole HVAC unit too far forward that the dash trim won’t go on. The trim piece needs to be bolted on on top of the HVAC, but it’s not wide enough to do that. So, IDK what to do, probably cut it but that’s how I destroyed the first trim piece. I’ve been full circle on this thing with no real discernible solution.

I was lucky and my double din was already cut on my 2000 F150. This kit fit like a dream. Nice and tight without any stereo movement at all. Not a single modification needed on this project for me.
