Update 3 years later: The magnet on the slider fell off. We tried gluing it back in place, but it was never the same and no one was sure which side the slider was on. Thought about getting this same one to replace it, but may try something else that hopefully lasts longer. ***** This Metal Dishwasher Magnet is perfect. I was worried it would look out of place or gaudy, but it's so sleek it's like it was built in to the dishwasher. I have had it for 43 days and decided I should write down why I like it. ** The magnet really is strong enough to keep it in place ** The sliding door that indicates clean/dirty does not accidentally move - you have to intentionally slide it to the other side ** It matches my stainless steel dishwasher ** The words are not so tiny you can't see them, and have enough contrast you can actually read them ** There are no sharp edges ** The slider is firmly housed in the mechanism, nothing is going to fall apart ** Overall it is very sturdy, I expect it to last longer than the dishwasher ** AND the kids actually trust it and are putting their own dishes into the dishwasher My sister was so impressed, she bought one too!

Excellent, high quality. Wearing well, easy to clean though I'm detecting a little wear on the lettering. Had to replace my dishwasher and unlike my old one which kept track of whether the load was done or not (light on the panel), my new one didn't. This item solved the issue.

Bought this a while ago while my kitchen was being remodeled. Finally put it to use and what a clever little device. The magnetic capability is serious and it really sticks. I mean REALLY sticks. It looks like part of the dishwasher and the slider works seamlessly. This is a quality and durable item and makes my wife and mother in law very happy. Highly recommended.

Product works as expected and is mostly metal. Magnets are strong and the backing won’t damage the dishwasher. Only gave 4 stars because it is a little pricey for what it is, but so far worth the money.

There are a lot of options to choose from for a 'dirty/clean' dishwasher magnet and at a price significantly lower than this one that I selected but I am glad I went with the one that I did. My reasoning behind purchasing this one over all of the other ones on the market was simply that it matched the kitchen better. I didn't want anything flashy that drew attention to it but something that practically and clearly conveyed the message that the dishes were either clean or not. But its added simplicity in style was an added bonus for me. It was surprisingly difficult to find a magnet with a basic black font and sliding front cover. The sliding makes it a very mindless thing to use in our swipe left/swipe right generation. And the magnet is something that I think will live on this dishwasher forever haha. They are in a long term relationship. All jokes aside, the magnet is seriously strong. I like our dishwasher sign and find it very useful in our home to communicate to family and friends when to use the dishes and when not too. My friend was thrilled that I got one because there have been a few occasions that she got a very well rinsed glass out of the dishwasher that had not yet been clean haha. Communication is key people so why not let the magnet do the talking ;)

So glad I got this. Magneted & strong. Easy to slide from clean to dirty. I would recommend this for your dishwasher. My wife always rinses the dishes before she loads them, so when I would look at them I thought they had been ran. Now we have no excuse!!
