We used the build-in water dispenser from our refrigerator for years and were eventually just tried of the slow water flow and expensive filters. We decided to try one of these even though we were hesitant to give up space in our refrigerator. After just a day or so, we knew we made the right call! The cons: it sucks to fill up. Yes, use the water line through refrigerator was much easier to use as we didn't have to fill it up. So there's no getting around that. But, we just try to top it off each day so that it never gets too low. It's not hard to fill up, it just takes time since you have to let it slowly drain. So don't let it get too empty! The pros: much colder water, faster water flow, and cheaper filters. Our refrigerator filters are $50+ so these are much cheaper. The water flow to fill our bottles is also much faster than our built-in fridge water. And on top of that, the water is colder which is a nice perk. Overall, definitely recommend! Note: I forgot to mention, our first unit had a leaky spigot. It would drip in our fridge and was quite messy. I contacted Brita and they sent me a replacement unit which has been great for several months now. ... show more

Love my brita! My household drinks a lot of water. Unfortunately I received my Brita and about 6months later the spout started to drip. I called customer service and they’re sending me a replacement! Super happy with company and product.

I like the xtra large size Brita tanks. My first two held the same amount of water. The first one had a Very long life. After several years, I gave my second one to my parents. This One isn’t perfect. I can adjust my refrigerator shelves to accommodate the height, but the spout is huge and is causing some issues, due to its size. ... show more

I recently purchased the Brita XL Water Filter Dispenser and it has been an amazing addition to my home. This dispenser can hold a total of 27 cups of water, with 18 in the tank and 9 in the reservoir, making it incredibly convenient for daily use. However, I did encounter an issue with the dispenser: about 35-40 days after purchase, the tap started leaking, and unfortunately, this was right after Amazon's return window had closed. Despite this setback, I reached out to Amazon support, and although they couldn't replace the item, they advised me to contact the manufacturer directly. To my relief, the Brita support team was extremely helpful. After verifying all the necessary details, they promptly provided me with a replacement, which arrived within 7-10 days here in NYC. I'm really satisfied with the product and the customer service I received. I also recommend using the Blue filter with this dispenser. It lasts longer and is often available on deals at Costco, where you can get a pack of 4 for about $38. Depending on your usage, these filters can last anywhere from 1 to 2 years. Really improves taste of water. Installs very conveniently in refrigerator and easy dispensing. I like it on top shelf but it can be a little heavy to lift and position if full. So I simply fill half way each time. Bought one as a gift… also much appreciated.

The Brita filter is pretty great. I was a little worried of the size since we live in a small apartment and our fridge space isn’t huge, but it fits perfectly! It is tall, but it fits as I expected. However, I took a gamble after reading the reviews of it showing up broken,— most of the time I figure it’s a rarity— and unfortunately for me, it showed up with the bottom corner chipped and some other gray piece randomly roaming in the top. I was a little sad, but it didn’t ruin the function of the filter and it works well! Kind of wish the packers would at least put something around the filter to protect the fragile plastic from rough conditions. It tastes great and I’m happy with it :) ... show more
