I was skeptical but some of the reddit posts seemed positive and turned out a great call I’ve been making gummies and brownies, both came out very strong, and it only took 1hr for infusion. The sealed lid for odor control was the main reason I purchased this unit, and I tested it immediately after receiving it, but it's defective. The container and lid are supposed to attach to the machine, and while it does click and turn on, it keeps detaching and falling slightly back. There is no secure lock holding it in place. Either the design is not well engineered, or the unit I received is defective. I had to use Velcro as a temporary fix to keep the container attached to the machine. Without it, the container detaches and the machine turns off. I attached a picture showing the temporary fix in case it helps others with the same issue. The issue does not seem to be with the container or lid itself. It seems more likely to be with the attachment point on the machine. The capacity is also more limited than I expected. The max amount of herbs is 1 oz. The regular infusion can be used with 1 oz of oil and 1 oz of herbs, but the ultrasonic “Altafuse” infusion requires more than 2 oz of oil to work. Ideally, the ultrasonic process should also work with 1 oz of oil. The dry feature does not seem practical to me. Fresh harvested herbs usually take many hours or even weeks to dry properly, and this feature claims to dry herbs in 3 hours, but the machine is not ventilated. The built-in scale is not accurate and feels cheap. For a machine like this, I expected better quality and a more reliable design. I have tried reaching customer support via Amazon, but it's very difficult, I wasn't able to reach them. My only option is to return this item, and purchase something more reliable.

I only rated 2 stars for now, only because the kettle tbat came with my unit leaks all over😭. First run with it was a big ole mess😡 However the machine is great! Knowing a new kettle will alleviate the problem, I am hoping altafuse reaches out and sends me a replacement kettle. The oil I did infuse? 🤯. 60g to16oz mct, 2 30g runs 60 minutes each. I’m very pleased with the results, just not the mess! This was supposed to be cleaner🤣 Waiting to hear from the folks at altafuse now😉👉 Update: Altafuse made this right by sending me a new updated alta1, and it works like it should. Thank you Altafuse for making this right for me. I’m having a good time infusing things🤠

Honestly bought this on a whim and did not expect to be this impressed. Been using it for herbal oils and infused butter mostly, and the results are so much better than what I was doing before — more potent, richer flavor, no babysitting required. The speed is what really got me. I didn't realize how much time I was wasting with the old stovetop method until I got this.

I received my Altafuse machine directly from the manufacturer and the base of the carafe had a defect in the non-stick surface on the inside cooking surface. I contacted them for a replacement and their customer service was pretty good. I received a replacement carafe in about a week. Overall, the unit is built to a decent mid-level quality standard. The defective carafe was annoying and could have been caught by even cursory QC inspection. But customer service that made it right was redeeming. The other frustrating thing is that the all glass carafe as advertised is not entirely accurate. The carafe is not all glass, it’s basically a glass cylinder with handle and an aluminum non-stick base glued together with silicone. You can touch the silicone seal inside the carafe where it meets the base. I was considering returning the unit because of this, but this is the only ultrasonic infuser on the market. I can’t speak to effectiveness yet, as I’ve not been able to use the machine, but initial build quality impressions are mixed. They were so close to having a great product here and then went cheap on the construction of the main interface. I would gladly pay more for a carafe that is both thicker one piece borosilicate glass and has no silicone touching the food. The other issue is that there is no way to turn the heating element off during Altafuse ultrasonic infusion mode, it’s just 140 or 160 degrees. This is important because some delicate botanicals can’t be infused under heat. It really makes no sense to force the user to employ heat if it’s not needed. I’ve read that some folks run the unit for 5 minutes at a time and then let everything cool down in between cycles, but that’s certainly not a time saver.

It is an amazing machine, super fast and very easy to use. I used it to make herbal infused oils for skin care over the weekend. the ultrasonic technology works well in my infusion. The weight scale on the top comes in handy as well. AND it’s very good looking. Absolutely recommend 100%!
