This is a nice product and smells great. But the final product is never as matte as you would think. I normally have to apply in dry hair and then still fluff it quite a lot throughout the day to make it less shiny and clumpy.

This product once had a clay type texture, more like a pomade. Now, the packaging is the same but they changed from a clay texture to more of a gel/buttery consistency? The scent is different as well, the old formula had a nice sandalwood smell, the new formula is not my favorite. Not sure what is going on here? I'm not saying the seller is dishonest, maybe it changed before without them knowing. The original one below is on the left and has a more yellowish color. ... show more

I had found a jar of this clear pomade at a local shop and when I ran out I was disappointed that the shop no longer carried this item. I turned to Amazon and found it here, so I don't have to be without. Oddly enough, I use this product on my beard to tame fly-aways and keep it looking neat and groomed. After I apply it I wait a few moments and comb it through and I'm able to go throughout my day without wispies becoming unruly. ... show more

it's good but almost completely scentless. that is bourbon and cedar. won't try the others now. it works well but feels greasy by next day.
