One of the things that this pin pointer helps me with is when Metal Detecting with a traditional metal detector. Often you will see something in the dirt and not know if it's metal or not, so then you have to move it to the side and see if it sets off your detector again and it can be a real hassle. This pin pointer is a nice accessory because you can just pull it out when it's time to get into the dirt and "pinpoint" what your main metal detector has found for you. This thing is also nice for retrieving rings and other jewelry that may have fallen into a stream or water and got mixed up in the sand. Since it's waterproof you can wave it around all you want and it won't damage the device - for at least up to 50 feet. This is where the vibration feature really comes in handy since you won't be able to hear it underwater if you are fully submerged. There is a built in LED light to help with seeing where you are sticking the wand as well. Our kids have fun playing with it as well, mostly just to run around and see what is metal and what is not - making it a good tool to teach kids the differences between metals and plastic that looks like metal. The wand uses a 9 volt battery instead of a rechargeable lithium ion which has its pros and cons. If you are out all day metal detecting then its way easier to bring a few extra batteries with you to ensure it doesn't die on you. Great tool in the tool kit!

I ordered this item weeks ago. I love it! But the original one would not turn off correctly and the remote wouldn't work. I received a replacement immediately by the vendor. The remote works correctly. It is a great product for kids but I purchased it for myself. It helps me with decompression, mental wellness. I highly recommend and glad I purchased it.

I have never used pin pointer wand before. I previously only used flat wands. I really enjoy using this one more because it is a bit more exacting when finding metals. I find this detector to be very helpful when working on DIY projects. I just finished putting together a large, raised garden bed. I work in my backyard and I’m always dropping screws in the grass. This wand is very lightweight and easy to carry with its own holster and cord. When I dropped my screws, I didn’t have to run into the house to grab my wand, it was readily accessible because I was able to clip it right to my pants. I like to use vibration alert rather than the audio but either depends on the situation and preference. This detector is well-made and accurate. The lighting is a plus if you have to search for something at night. For this price, I got a really good deal

Zero stars. This JKUSS metal detector is hyped as an IP68 waterproof unit. Their own ads show people using it underwater while scuba diving. It is not waterproof. I took it out for its first swim, and the moment it went underwater I saw bubbles coming out of the housing as water rushed in. It immediately started vibrating continuously like it had shorted out. When I surfaced, it went from “broken” to dangerous. It started sparking and smoking. Salt water had clearly gotten into the electronics and I was suddenly holding something that felt like it could catch fire or explode at any second. I dove back down and buried it under a foot of sand to try to contain it if it ignited. A “waterproof” detector should not turn into a smoking, sparking hazard on its first use. If you’re buying this for water hunting, especially saltwater, don’t.
