I was at first skeptical ,me buying my first metal detector and it being a good one. First, I was impressed on the rugged design putting it together. So I started out. It takes some getting used to if you are a beginner, but the directions help alot. I sweeped my back yard and started to get two tones. ( after finding a nail and old cotter pin) . Found two nickles and a penny buried about 3 inches in the ground. I was impressed! Although this may take a lot for me to get rich, πŸ€”. I remain positive lol. Side note to help others. If you buy a pointer , I recommend shutting off the metal detector. It somehow interferes with a pointer. I'm ready to ho out and find more things! Thanks !! ... show more

The amount of time my 7 year old has spent scanning our yard with this has made it well worth it. He also brings it along on walks. Haven't found much with it yet but we're looking forward to taking it to the beach this summer.

My 10 year-old requested a metal detector for Christmas. This one had great reviews, and was economically priced. Today was our first day trying it out, and I was very impressed. It was very easy to assemble, and has been easy to figure out and use as well. In an afternoon of hunting we found an aluminum can, two nails, and an old metal buckle of sorts.
