This may be one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had in my entire life. I have about eight sets of Merrill shoes. Merrill’s are very supportive and they wear well.. but some of them are tight across the top of your foot. this one is so comfortable sometimes I forget to take them off when I come home.

Was looking for a new hiking shoe. My previous experience with Merrill shoes has been positive. Well constructed and long lasting. Fit is very good. I expect long life from these shoes.

I had a pair of Merrell hiking boots which were mixed materials and stood out as being hiking boots. They were comfortable and lasted many years. I thought about buying the same pair again, but they had added even more weird orange logo bits that made them look less like regular shoes. I thought these might be a good alternative to blend better as a shoe, while having the comfort of a hiking boot But the fuzzy and seemingly untreated (or inadequately treated) leather has discolored unevenly from very light wear and nothing but getting rained on. I'll also say that the default color is a very odd light brown that looks a bit strange--darkening it improves it, but the problem is it just doesn't look even. For my purposes of hiking boots that blend in non-hiking situations I got a much cheaper pair of black boots from another manufacturer, and the materials do not look worn like these do. In retrospect I would not have bought these more expensive all brown boots and gone with the odd-hiking-looking boots, just for hiking. I'm torn on giving these 4 stars at the price point given how they look, but they are comfortable. If they do anything else to annoy me I'll come back and drop a star.

I haven't warn these hiking yet as I'm still wearing these in with walks around the park with the dog. Very comfortable shoe and feel like they are molding to my feet as they are leather. I previously had a pair of Merrell Chameleon shoes that I really loved. I veered away to another brand due to a good deal but have still be wearing my Merrell Chameleon since 2017 and although looking shabby they are still the most comfortable shoe. So I decided time for Merrell again. These don't disappoint so far and I am pleased I went for the leather upper this time as they have reasonable water proofing and easier to wipe clean and polish back to new when required.

I got these Merell mid-height boots ahead of a winter trip to Switzerland and Germany. The intended use was mostly urban walking and a lot of it, with a little walking on light trails. I wore these for about a week before my trip. On my trip, I was easily doing 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day. These boots handled it incredibly well. They were comfortable yet supportive. Combined with good wool socks, I didn't have any hot spots or blisters (unusual for me). These boots look good, too. They are listed as waterproof but for good measure, I had treated them with a bit of fabric/shoe waterproofing spray which didn't alter the color and added a little more protection. Overall, a great looking and comfortable Merrell boot. I can't vouch for how they would perform on serious hikes (I'll likely keep with my Salomon X Ultras for that purpose), but these are great for light duty and day-to-day wear. They also have a look tat can work for casual wear around town or in the office.

I wear these every day at work. Very comfortable. Water proofing is good. Light weight. Holding up to dirt and mud so far. I would purchase again.

These boots are garbage one month in and they started falling apart. And you can see from the photos the tread still has the lines in it so it's not like i wow them excessively. Of course I can't return them.
