Normally I don’t write reviews but these hiking boots are noteworthy! I usually wear a size 9. After reading the other comments, I bought a size 9 1/2, which fit perfectly! These boots offer great support, comfort, and are waterproof. I’m a satisfied customer!

Do think about the range of climate, especially if it is becoming warmer and wetter. In Colorado, we get a lot of snow and cold weather, but the snow has generally been dry powder. These boots get good traction and are warm enough with normal cotton or wool stockings. In the rare times when the snow becomes wet/heavy or makes deep puddles, some moisture enters the stockings either through the sides or over the top. I would certainly buy an alternate pair if they offered a higher top and/or traded less ventilation for more waterproofing. That way I could save the current version for dryer weather. ... show more

I had a pair just like this, that I absolutely loved. Then a sick pet drenched one of the shoes completely in urine. I tried to clean it, but the shoe was ruined. I was so glad to see an identical pair on Amazon. They are exactly the same, except for a small upgrade with the addition of metal eyelets at the top of the lacing in the new pair. I never received the shoes. I contacted Amazon and was asked to wait a couple more days. I did so, but sadly did not receive them. I previously had a pair of these for over five years and I LOVE THESE SHOES, but had a hard time finding some to replace the old ones. I usually wear size 8; but I had to return the size 8 and order size 8.5. When I got the first 8.5 I got a blister above my heel from a tiny lump in the inside back of the left shoe. I returned these shoes for another size 8.5. These didn’t have the blemish; and now I love them. They are light, comfortable, and cute. This particular Hi-Tech did not fit well and run small in comparison to others. They do have a much different insole (orange on edges) which I did not like the fit & feel of. I orderd size 9 in this Hi- Tech and was too small, yet a slightly different Apex Lite with a traditional insole but very similar 8.5 was plenty big & even another Hi-Tech 9 was also plenty big. I tried another one at a local store with this same insole & also did not fit well. Found the Hi-Tech Ravus Mid fit a lot better - however it does not list them as waterproof, however proper fit will have to override that. ... show more

Thirst hiking boots are fantastic. I go out to help with the animals as much as I can a d my feet which have bad arthritis in them are now feeling much better at the end of the day. Very comfortable, waterproof is a plus. I highly recommend thes.
