The media could not be loaded. Watched a lot of videos that showed all kinds of problems with similar lathes. I haven't torn mine down, but everything is tight and works well. I'm not an expert, but I've used lathes before and have always wanted one. I like the 125 mm chuck, and have a 4 jaw on the way. Very pleased, and I'm successfully making simple parts. Would have been 5 stars but the chuck is a little out of balance causing excessive vibration at some speeds and there are a few minor fit and finish issues. ... show more

I am very pleased with this lathe the chuck mounting plate is running true when checked with a test dial indicator of 0.0001 and the chuck running 0.0005. Also tested travel full length of bed for tool and tail stock is dead on. I could not be more pleased.

If you are a hobby person looking for a mini lathe that you can unbox and start making parts you will be very disappointed. It took me 3 days just to clean and deburr all the sharp edges. Looks like they assembled the lathe next to the guy that was snagging the castings. If you change the angle of the compound rest then the tool post becomes worthless. I had to modify it to use a quick change tool post from another lathe. Spent another $100 for a DRO for the X and Z axis ... all the dials are in .02 mm ( approx. 079" ). My winter project will be to replace the skinny v-belts with cog belts. I don't know how much a quality mini lathe would cost, but I'm hoping with a few upgrades this one will work OK. ... show more

It’s not as good as I expected but it will and did do the job I got it for. Almost before the tool holder just broke apart in my hand while just starting to insert a cutting tool. It was probably already damaged or had some flaw in it before I got it. Was about ready to return. However the seller was very quick to send out repair parts and promise lifetime service warranty on the tool holder and slide. Other than that it is a quite machine with seemingly good metal reduction gears and a strong motor. Seller has been upfront and honest so far. I would deal with them again. ... show more
