I had been looking for the perfect shades to complement this thrifted chandelier and discovered these lovely shades in the perfect shade of blue. (My kitchen walls are a deep, rich blue.) Overall, the quality is exceptional. The fabric has a slight silky feel to it and each shade has a bit of weight to it; it's not flimsy. The shades allow for just the right amount of light to pass through as they are lined (in white) as you can see from the picture. Had clear hurricanes with those tacky swirly light bulbs that were too bright and cast a garish, harsh light in our dining room. Husband tried to install a dimmer on the switch but said it wouldn't work (really!?). These are so pretty and simple, but elegant and I love the color. A couple of barely noticeable blips in the seams, but these are quality shades for the price. I had to buy 40w candelabra bulbs ($5.69) and then socket adapters ($7.12), but it was so worth the additional cost. It also meant I had to wait weeks to enjoy them, which was pretty painful. They clean up nicely, I dust the outside and wipe the inside with a slightly damp cloth when needed. The change in the lighting made such a difference. It's warm and inviting now instead of hospital bright and changes the whole look of the room. A very inexpensive but impressive mini makeover! PS Sorry for my poor photography skills... ... show more

Theses chandelier lamp shades are well-made and fit beautifully. However, the color I chose is more of a navy blue rather than the lighter shade of blue advertised. They practically look black when on the chandelier. However, they are very nice shades.

This is the 3rd set of chandelier shades I bought, and it was the last. All the others I purchased were too small, so much so the bottom of the bulb showed from the side! These are much bigger and create a more balanced look. My only complaint? I wish they made these in a more beige or oatmeal type color. The eggshell is nice, but almost white.
