    • Nice....Very Nice with a few simple enhancements
This daybed/couch is attractive and definately looks more like a couch than a daybed. Which is what I wanted. At a very reasonable price. It is very easy to put together. All the holes line up. Yeah! All surfaces are finished. No exposed hardware or wood. The fabric is definately above average. A lovely soft velvet that matches the color shown in the description. Things to keep in mind. The armrests have a nice slope to them. At the lowest point you will have about a 2 inch rise above an 8" mattress. If you go with a 10 inch mattress the edge of the mattress will rise above the lowest part of the armrest. That wouldn't be a big deal but not the look I would want. I use an 8" tall mattress. That is the maximum height mattress recommented. Mine is a great quality mattress and super comfortable. Stability enhancements: This frame is rated for a max. of 250 pounds. That's because there are only 8 slats that measure 5.5" apart. The slats are a good thickness. Not too thin or flimsy. You can greatly enchance the weight bearing capacity by increasing the # of slats or using a bunkie board. I went with the bunkie board. Back support enhanced: The headboard/backboard is 75" wide and slightly recessed. It's an easy fix but you will want to measure and cut a 75" 1x1 or 1x2 and secure it the back of this board. Even if the frame is directly up against a wall. The wall will not support the back board because it is recessed. It's an easy fix. Cons: Some of the hardware was mislabelled. However the instructions are clear and have good pictures so it's easy to figure out which hardware they really mean. One of the feet was missing the little cover. Annoying, I used a self adhesive slider to make sure all 4 feet were completely level. One or two very small places on the fabric, in non visable areas that were nicked. Looks like handled a little rough during plant assembly. I might try and contact the company regarding the missing foot leveler. If I do, I will update this review with input on their response. The manufacture could definately have included a back rest support piece. ... show more
