I bought this bed instead of the Max and Lily due to pricing. I took a chance and wasn’t overly disappointed. It took about 1.5 hours to put together. The parts weren’t all labeled so that made things a little challenging and the directions were very clear. The main cons about this bed is behind the stairs I thought I could use it for storage but the railing blocks it (in the picture). The other thing I don’t like is the hardware is exposed and doesn’t set all the way down. The stairs have screw head sticking out (see picture). Overall I’m happy with it for the price I paid. So far this bed is great for my four year old and 1 1/2 year old. My son and husband put it together. You need two people but it's beautiful once accomplished. The only downside is a great chance for splinters. The raw slats above the bottom bunk are definitely splinter prone. I put a sheet over them to protect the kids. But otherwise this is a well made bed ... show more

I have looked everywhere and there is nothing in the packages to cover the screw holes! 😩 they should at least have stickers to place on the surface of the desk. You definitely should have two people to put this thing together! It will make assembling the bed go quicker!! Our children love the bed!

This bed exceeded expectations, and was delivered 5 days sooner than promised. Packaged extremely well with these plastic type tabs on all corners, taped well, all pieces arrived with it. Assembly seemed easy for the hubby, our dresser took him 5 ish hours, this bed took him 1-2 and instructions were fairly easy. This bed is for our 2&1 year olds and together they weigh 65 pounds and it moves a little when they climb all over it, so I wouldn’t recommend for kids over 10 probably but it’s perfect for our younger ones. This bunk bed was exactly what we were looking for. Our 4 & 3 year old love it. It’s not too high and the bottom bunk is literally on the ground- perfect for our small boys. The slide is a huge hit with them and the staircase seems safer than a ladder. Assembly was quite involved but to be expected for putting together such a large item. Chipped away at assembling it over 1 day and all together probably took 3-4 hours. It looks and feels sturdy. Hoping this lasts us for a good 3-5 years, at least.
