I really like the handle, it's long, strong, and light. The net leaves a lot to be desired. It is too small and is not very strong. Just lifting it up with some river mud stuck to it caused it to bend. The net is a very fine mesh and is abrasive to the fishes slime. I landed a couple of decent carp with a lot of difficulty netting them because of its small size. Luckily I was able to adapt my rubber coated and larger Frabill landing net to the handle. The handle has a 8mm-1.25 threaded brass insert in the last section. I was able to machine (retired machinist) a couple of aluminum collars to adapt my good net. For me it was worth the price just to get the handle. ... show more

Perfect for our river house that has a bit of a drop to the water. We lost too many fish that got tangled up in shore debris and were otherwise too heavy to lift. It nabbed three channel cats in it's first hour of use! Couldn't be happier.

    • Cuts your hand and difficult to close

After extending and when you go to shorten the net it is very difficult to shorten. The threads are very sharp. I cut both of my hands and fingers pretty badly. The threads are so sharp that I did not realize it until I saw blood on my fingers. I would find a different net!
