The product description say's this pergola is aluminum. WRONG. A magnet sticks to EVERY piece. Three tall people needed to assemble the main 20 foot frame. After that, one person can easily finish it out. Managed to get two sections of moveable slats installed before some heavy rain( dark red radar with wind ) gave it a short test. If you have mosquitoes... get the netting with it.

First thing you should do is open every box and look inside all the tubes for the parts. I thought I was short a square tube and went to the hardware store and bought some to make the part that was missing only to find it later in another tube that we didn'tlook inside of. It did go together easy. Took 4 people about 8 hrs to put it together. Make sure you have a rotary drill for the concrete anchors and an 8 ft ladder to put the louvers on. We didn't have the curtains or nets on and ended up with a few birds that wanted to nest inside the frame. I bought the .8" clear plastic bird spikes, cut them in half and placed them inside the frame and no more birds. The spikes are not visible when looking at the frame. Also, a 7ft patio heater will not fit underneath the 10x12, it won't stand up at all.

This is a great upgrade to our deck! The pergola was shipped in five well labeled and secure boxes, which all arrived in one delivery. The boxes weighed between about 25 pounds to as much as 125 pounds, so plan accordingly. We did a brief inventory and separated the fasteners and primary components to reduce the searching for specific parts during assembly. Give yourself ample space to spread things out. Everything was well marked, but extra parts are not included (two spare screws), so don't lose anything. Moreover, the directions are drawings only. That said, everything went together as designed and works as advertised. Took one day to get the basic frame erected and a second day to complete installation of the louvers and base mounting. A helper is likely essential to set up the frame. The rest can be done singlehandedly, but a helper makes things go much faster. Use your own tools! A drill/driver and bit set is a must. After several days of use in variable weather, we found just one leak at a corner where I didn't apply enough of the water sealant glue. A quick fix. The pergola is sturdy, appears durable, and works great! Highly recommended!

Several pieces were dented. I was given the option to wait a few weeks for replacements items or receive a partial refund. The pergola contains A LOT of parts. It is a long process to put together but can be done in a day with two skilled people. Posts do not have drainage holes as indicated in the listing pictures. So far so good but it has been tested with rain or wind yet.

Excellent material quality, thickness was just right for the price, not too thick and not too thin, not cheap by any means. Had to rest after putting each base plate on because the screws were good and tight up in the posts. Installation went well, Me and my wife had it stood up in 12 hours, we took our time with several breaks, it was hot that day. We finished putting the louver rods and louvers in over the next couple of days after work. I stood under it during a heavy rain and it didn't leak anywhere. Additional dimensions were provided to me from the company because I needed the extra dimensions to make sure it would fit by our pool.
