I have a Ford Transit Van, Low Roof, 130" Wheelbase. This product was made for the 148" WB, but I could not find a nice roof rack for a 130" WB. This Melipron roof rack fit well. I was able to use the entire rack length, crossbars, wind blocker and sides. I used 6 of the 8 mounting brackets (148" vs 130"). The rack is sturdy, drive tested, no shaking, no problems. I ordered the T-slot framing. Installed directly to factory mounts on van. I will be using this primarily to mount solar panels. The rack is made of 4040 aluminum framing and comes with good solid hardware. It's heavy and solid, but I was able to put together and install on the van by myself, by installing it in sections, versus trying to lift the whole thing up at once. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend.

This rack is pricier, but you are paying for the robust 8020 type extrusions. These extrusions are both on the sides and cross members. These extrusions are pricey, but much more robust. I'm installing solar panels and a cargo carrier on a 2025 extended transit. The aluminum extrusions give the ability to put a platform or deck on the roof or support your weight while working in the roof. Installation took 1/2 a day, but well built. Strong enough to support a side ladder, but can't find a side ladder for a transit. Need an install helper. I was shorted 1 piece of hardware and will request the part. The only issue is the overall length. I have an extended Transit and the rack is about 2.5' short. I need to buy more extrusion and hardware. The Good, the extrusion is like an erector set, so can add on and modify easily. The Bad, parts are expensive. Wouldn't take much for Melipron to have a kit for extended vans, 2 short extrusions and some hardware. They also don't sell hardware separately. Need more customer focus. I suggest buying a bottle of blue thread lock for all hardware installation. Also need rv roof caulking to seal supports. I was going to DIY the rack with extrusion parts, but part cost exceeded this already made rack.

Great deal on this. Save yourself lots of money. I’d recommend building in sections and mount to van rather than complete rack on the ground.

The rack is a decent value, mostly good materials. It is sold as specific to the Ford Transit but the attachment brackets are a 90 degree L shape. The Transit roof pads slope down at the sides about 7 degrees, so the L brackets should have been about 83 degrees. It doesn't sound like much difference but the sides of the rack slant outwards enough to be noticeable. Yes it will work as is but I chose to rework the brackets for a better fit. Also the T nuts are not stainless, just plated steel so I'm keeping an eye out for rusting and prepared to replace them with stainless T nuts if it becomes a problem. Overall ok rack but I would have paid a few more bucks for correctly formed brackets and all stainless hardware.

Very nice product. Good instructions. Fit perfectly on my 2025 Ford Transit 148wb high roof. Assembled it on the ground and than hoisted it into the overhead to install it. I could have assembled it on the van but that would have been harder to do.

Very capable roof rack. Assembly was fairly easy. I did have to grind roof openings to attach rack, but that’s Ford’s fault. No vibrations or excessive noise while driving. I did replace wind fairing hardware with all black hardware. Just my preference.

Some bolts and aluminum extrusion nuts were missing. Also instructions are not clear at all as well as organization of bags. Also it is to short for the T250. There are maybe 4-5 feet from reaching the end.
