I bought my first bed rail in 2019 right after hip replacement surgery. It is well made, and sturdy with no sharp edges and helps me get in and out of bed and position myself in bed. Four years later, it does not show any wear. It works well on my adjustible bed. It was easy to assemble but took time and care to attach it to the bed with the straps so they did not get in the mechanism that raises and lowers the head of the bed. I just bought a second one as I now need one on the other side of my bed following an injury. I highly recommend it for anyone with limited mobility.

My 97-year old mother is staying with us for a month--this all happened rather quickly and we had a lot to do to get our house ready for her. I did a lot of searching for what I hoped would be the best solution to help her get in and out of bed. This is working perfectly so far! It's been almost a week and she really likes it--says it's very helpful. We're using it with a twin bed that is situated only about 16" from the floor. The box spring is a metal one (which we also bought on Amazon) and I wasn't sure if this product would work with it, but we've had no trouble with it so far. The "MGRip" is a unique design that seems to make it easy for my mom to pull herself up or hang on to it to seat herself on the bed. When you use this with a twin, there is a lot of extra strap, which can be cut or tied and set out of the way so it doesn't become a tripping hazard. Cutting them means you can't use it on any other size bed, so before you cut them, be sure you won't need them on a bigger bed. I was a little confused about how the straps worked, but I finally figured it out (hopefully I've got them on correctly)--the whole thing is stable, so it looks like I did it right. I removed the pouch on the side because my mom has no use for it, but I'm keeping it in case she needs it in future. I'm very happy with this product!

I bought this for someone who needs to hold on to a rail to transfer. She loves it! The height and curved top rail are perfect for getting in and out of bed. It feels super steady and strong for weight bearing. I was afraid the bars that go under her thin mattress would be uncomfortable but she doesn't even feel them. The pocket that attaches to the rail doesn't seem very sturdy but it can easily replaced with another. She just loves the height and sturdiness of the rail and says repeatedly she feels much safer in her transfers.

This bed-rail is awesome to use to adjust your position when in bed and when getting out of bed.It is extremely helpful to use after surgery. It has been very secure when attached between mattress and box springs and utilizing the nylon straps, following assembly instructions. You still can change your sheets with removing the bed-rail. The attached bag attached with Velcro and is useful to store items for easy access. the bag can be wiped with a wet cloth as needed.

PROS: Well it does what it says it will do and seems sturdy with quality metal parts. It works with an adjustable bed frame when installed properly so not to interfere with the hydraulic system. It is stable when installed and does not move when used. CONS: It is not a simple/easy install or assembly. It requires 2 people to make it easier. I have a 13 inch mattress with a 3 inch topper, it is almost too short compared to my mattress to be of much help to me but it does help some, that being said I did not have issues sleeping prior to the install of this grip and I have found I can feel the hardness from the metal tubes going under the mattress at my back area so thus I have backaches most days now. I am returning one of them and looking for a different solution. I am older and feel it is a well made product and should last well too it just is not a good fit for me at this time.

When I had difficulty turning and getting out of bed, this thing was fantastic. I'm a big 300 lb+ strong guy and this rail is solid and strong. Best feature vs. other brands is the padded curved grip rail. The padding makes this rail easy to grip. The curve is important, too. When you are trying to pull yourself up, the curves give you different options to grip which is important because you are changing positions all the time and you can change grips to suit your needs and preference. For example, when my wife brings me some pills, I can grab the angle and pull myself partially up so I can take them and take a drink. I can put my armpit over the dip section and hang on it to steady myself so I can take the pill cup with one hand and my water with the other. The dip also helps because the low spot makes it easier for me to reach items on my nightstand such as my water cup. The padded dip is so comfortable that sometimes I just use it to support my arm while lying down and resting. I also find it comfortable when my bp is being taken, because the low padded dip makes it comfortable to hold my arm in a steady and comfortable position while my pressure is being taken. I would definitely take this product vs one with a bar that goes straight across. The bag that attaches to the rail is a nice feature. Great for holding a cell phone, TV remote, or whatever. It came with the pockets facing out, so I just reversed it so the pockets were on the inside so I could hold my stuff. I love this thing!

What a blessing this has been. It makes getting in and out of bed safer. It is very sturdy and does not move at all when you are getting in and out of bed. I recently had foot surgery and could not place any weight on that foot. I like it so much that I am going to leave it on my bed after the recovery period. The foam around the top is nice so you aren't grabbing a cold piece of metal. The pocket is nice, but wish it was a little larger. It is made of quality materials. I would recommend this to anyone about to have surgery or anyone with back problems. A very good investment
