  • I purchased this for my Mom but it sits too ...
I purchased this for my Mom but it sits too high for her to use it. The actual height measurement was off almost 2 inches from floor to seat. My Mom is only about 4ft 9in and it makes it too hard for her to get in and out of the chair. The brakes are way too hard for her to set so she can not use it at all. The plastic wheels are junk as they have no traction. ... show more

  • Small enough to fit through bathroom door
This chair is narrow enough to fit through our 25-inch bathroom door, but has enough room for a larger person. It won't hold an extra large person, but I'm 5'4" and 200+ pounds and it's comfortable for me to sit in without being squeezed. The breaks hold steady and the tires work well on both hard floors and carpets. ... show more

  • Caddilac of Wheelchairs.
This product offers a lot of extra's that normal wheelchairs miss. My main concern was being able to elevate a persons leg horizontally if needed. (Leg Cast) The fold away arm rests are nice for getting in and out easily. The only drawback is the back with handles has to be removed to transfer or store the unit. A human engineering major fault... ... show more

  • Affordable and great for kids
I bought the small size for my son who fractured his leg and couldn't put any weigh on it. Also needed his leg elevated. This wheelchair has been amazing and for the price it is absolutely a great value. I don't know about long term as we have only had it for 4 weeks but it has endured three school children at home taking turns and playing on it. Also multiple in's and out's of a car which mean taking the legs off and folding on and off multiple times a day. My son even took it on the grass for field day at school. Highly recommended. It really saved the day for my 9 year old and helped make him feel much more confident moving around with a full leg cast. Durable, reliable, great value. ... show more

  • well made but some drawbacks
i wore out my DRIVE wc in 5 years. i bought this because it's 8 lbs lighter. the Medline is well made but harder to self propel and maneuver. the worst part is the pull to lock. it leaves the locking handle in the forward position when unlocked which allows it to be pushed back and semi locked by just brushing against something. this happens many times during the day and is a major pain in the ass. since i cannot return it because i tried it i am donating it and buying another DRIVE. not recommended. ... show more

  • Keeper of Pain Relief for Legs
I am thrilled with this wheelchair. I am able to get through small door openings. I do have to remove the leg supports, when I have to turn in a small hallway , to enter a room, but I'm fine with that. I only use the leg supports, when I have to go to a medical facility and have to do any walking. Feel very safe using my own wheelchair, rather than one offered by the medical offices, not knowing who sat in them before me. I weigh enough, that it doesn't slip on carpeting, but if it did, a carpeted chair mat, cut in strips and attached to the wheels, with duct or electrical tape would work. This wheelchair is a win situation for me and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Does the job
This was a lifesaver for me to get around the house. I broke my leg and ankle a couple months ago. The chair is skinny enough to go down hallways and through most doorways. I was able to get my own food and use the bathroom without struggling on crutches. It just made life a lot easier. It is not great in parking lots or other outdoor areas. I would highly suggest this product for getting around the house or garage as I did. ... show more

  • Perfect for more independence
Perfect fit for my 95 year old grandfather. Able to maneuver and propel himself easily. Arms are perfect as he can pull all the way up to the table.
