  • Decent buy for the price.
I needed a replacement wheelchair with a slim profile chair as I have a very tight doorway entry and then only a few feet within which I have to make a sharp turn into my kitchen. I had an Invacare previously but a front wheel axle broke and the wheel would no longer go over a bump I have to navigate over to get into my kitchen. I don’t know if it was from excess weight, but to be on the safe side I wanted a higher weight capacity chair. Hard to find a wheelchair with higher weight capacity but similar dimensions at least at a price under $300 that I could get delivered within a few days. The old chair’s brakes werent working and one footrest no longer folded up, so new chair made more sense than an expensive repair. After using the Medline for a few weeks I think I can give a fair review. Assembly: The chair is assembled as shipped except for the removable footrests. I still have a hard time fitting the footrests in place, but to be fair, it took awhile for me to master that on the Invacare too. I am getting better at it. I am sure with practice I will more easily be able to find the correct angle to slide them on quickly. The instruction booklet is nearly worthless except for standard warnings. I actually don’t think the booklet I got was intended for this chair at all. For example, unlike my old chair, the brakes on this chair require me to pull the levers on each side upward to the back of the chair. The instructions say the exact opposite—that you push the levers forward to the front. I had a very hard time finding the mechanism for swinging the footrests to the side. There are little flat metal bars well under the chair that you push to unlock the footrests to swing them out. Very hard to reach and find while in the chair. Nothing in the manual helped me find them, and there is nothing about the way they look or feel to tip you off. Maybe at least rubber sleeves or something to hint they are levers. Comfort and feel. Even though the chair is rated for 50lbs more than the one I replaced, it feels less sturdy and stable. It might just be the lighter material used for the frame, but I have to say, it feels like it is more likely to tip over when I go over the bump in the kitchen doorway. It doesn’t handle quite as well as the Invacare either. It tends to roll a bit when I am stopped without the brakes on. Turn radius not quite as good as the Invacare was and it a slower less smooth roll, but again, a new chair requires adjustment so I allow for that. Brakes work well. It is reasonably comfortable to sit in for short periods. Foot rests are adjustable. The arms are removable they say. I havent had the need yet. Overall impression. At under $200 it is fine. It is lightweight so if you need to travel with it, that will be handy. For my peculiar needs in regard to length and width in this weight capacity class it works. If I didnt have the price, weight and size limitations on selection, I might go with something a little more like the Invacare at a higher price point. ... show more

  • It's a little heavy but sturdy
It's the hospital brand, very sturdy and the foot rests are removable. If you have a little butt, this is perfect. If you need a wider seat, this is not the one you should get bit we like it.

  • Back could have been played back a little more
The back made you lean too far forward. Also was missing 2 spring ball locks in the back of the removable side arms only one hole was drilled with no locking mechanism

  • Great price for a quality endurable product!
This is the perfect wheelchair for travel and temporary use. Compact, sturdy and at the right price. Folds almost flat, a plus, with swing away leg rests. Holds up to 250lbs. It’s also a terrific gift for someone, who needs a chair periodically, that can fit in the trunk or back of a car.

  • Pleased Customer!
We use this wheelchair on a daily basis taking a family member back and forth to doctors appointments for a family member. It has been fantastic. It is high quality basic wheel chair without all the bells and whistles. I would recommend this Medline wheelchair to anyone in need. I just wish it was a little less heavy , but I would rather have it be high quality, sturdy than light and not well made. I am very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

This wheelchair is a very good value for your money. It is comfortable as well as good support for moving you around. It is strong and easy to fold and store. I have a small suv and it fits inside very well. It is light, and you can pick it up easily. It appears all parts are precision made. I recommend this product to all that have a need. ... show more

  • Really light weight for a petite person
I finally found a Wheelchair I can lift and put in the trunk of my car. I don’t put it all of the way in as it’d be too difficult to lift out. I put most of it in and use a Bungee Cord to close the top of my trunk.
