I acquired this Cetyl Alcohol to use when making homemade bar soaps. It arrives in pelletized form in a resealable bag. Used as an ingredient in homemade soap Cetyl Alcohol helps to stabilize and harden, and to allow the soap to produce more lather. As a fatty alcohol Cetyl Alcohol helps to keep skin from drying out. The pellets melted easily and mixed well with the glycerin and other ingredients. The soap turned out smooth and shiny. Although this is probably not a product that people would order without knowing something about it – it still would be beneficial if there was some type of information on the package; such as melting point, safety precautions, etc. ... show more
