    • A great gift
Got this for Christmas for my parents since they struggle how to figure out how to use the standard controller. It works well with connecting to my console. I can turn on the console with it without using my game control. This really helps if I want to watch Netflix, YouTube, or whatever social media app I have. This works great with my two modern Samsung Smart TVs but not so much with my older Panasonic plasma. We have a few xboxes and TVs and I originally bought this for my son’s new Samsung smart TV. It worked great so I bought one for my room and it didn’t work consistently on my Panasonic plasma. I don’t know if it was the TV out the remote but it would work fine for a few minutes then stop working. I packed it up and sent it back. My sons still works great. ... show more

    • A game console changer
When I started trying to use my Xbox as more of a media center, rather than just a gaming unit, I quickly noticed how annoying it was to use the game controller to control various media. So, I bought this. Perhaps it's a bit silly that I would say this one thing has made that much of a difference for me, but now I enjoy using my Xbox for more than just gaming. This remote works great and now I'm more likely to use the Xbox as a bluray player because of it. If I had to nitpick, the battery cover could be a little easier to get off.     • Buttons hard to press.
This is a decent remote. The backlight on the buttons works great. It does what it needs to but there are a few issues I have with it. 1. The direction buttons on the ring have too much resistance and are inset a little so it's a pain to use them. Especially if you have long nails. 2. You really have to aim right at the XBOX. Would be nice if it was more powerful or something. 3. Battery life doesn't seem to be great and I don't see any battery level/low battery warnings. ... show more

This remote is a great value for the price. My only complaint is that the setup isn’t extremely clear. It would have been nice if there was an instruction booklet included in the package. Other than that, remote works great, the design is quality.

It paired with my Xbox without having to do anything. Works well and has been reliable for the past few months. It seems to have a longer battery life than the old Xbox remote that Microsoft made.

I have always HATED using the Xbox controller for watching movies. It's just not user friendly, it's a pain. I finally decided to just buy a remote and I'm SO glad I did. It was fairly easy to pair with my Xbox series x. And it makes pausing a movie SO much easier. You only have to hit the play/pause button instead of bringing up that stupid menu and going to pause like you have to with the controller. You can also turn the Xbox on and off with it. And fast forward/rewind. It works pretty much just like an Xbox controller with added volume and channel control.. The only complaint I have is that you have to point the remote DIRECTLY at the Xbox or it will not work. I took a whole star off for that alone. But otherwise it's perfect! ... show more
