    • Great Remote for Streaming
I bought this remote for my Xbox One that we use for streaming. I’d much rather use this than the controller when just watching tv. Worked right out of the box and didn’t require any setup to connect to the Xbox. The remote also lights up when it’s picked up which is an awesome bonus.

I recently got the Xbox One remote, and while there are some positives, it does come with a few frustrations. What I like: No setup required: As soon as I got the remote, it worked straight out of the box. No hassle, no need to pair or configure anything. Simple controls: The layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through menus and control media. What I don't like: Too sleek: The remote is so sleek that it's actually hard to hold onto. It slips out of my hand far too easily. Difficult buttons: The up and down buttons are a real pain. Due to the high beveled back, it's hard to press them without the remote flipping out of my hand. I find myself needing to use both hands just to press those buttons, which is pretty inconvenient. Overall: While the remote is sleek and simple to use, the design flaws, especially with handling, make it hard to enjoy without constant frustration. That said, if you prioritize easy setup and minimal controls, it still serves its purpose well. ... show more

    • Nice build quality, extremely poor detection and range
If your Xbox is anywhere other than in DIRECT line of sight, this remote will not work. The signal is very weak. If the Xbox is inside a piece of furniture, behind a TV or Monitor, or more than about 6 or so feet away do not buy this remote. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH YOUR SETUP. However if you have the Xbox in an open space or are using it from a very short distance (3 to 5 feet), it works like a charm. The build quality is great and it auto detects your system so no setup needed. I wish I could rate it higher, I like the build of the remote a lot but it is just far FAR too weak to be worth the price. Old TV remotes from 2007 have stronger reception than this. ... show more

This was a terrific buy. It was such a pain to turn the controller on and off for the Xbox all the time since I actually use it dm for streaming now for playing games. Purchased the remote for an Xbox One my son gave me. The controllers no longer works correctly and I refuse to pay $60 for another. This remote is perfect and turns the Tv on/off and adjust the volume as well. Who knew🤭Love It🥰🥰

    • Works as expected, but room for improvement.
The remote is certainly nice to use instea of a controller, and it does work as you would think. However I wasn't impressed that I had to apply the "Xbox" logo sticker button on the controller. The sticker is a rounded button that is difficult to handle without touching the sticky backing, and even harder to apply without it getting misaligned. The remote is also VERY sensitive to vibrations and will light up when you touch or bump it and anything it is laying on. The remote lighting up with every vibration will eventually eat through your batteries, but if you're using the remote often enough, this probably won't be an issue. ... show more
