I currently have a "wireless" thermometer, in that the thermometer base itself is Bluetooth-connected to my phone. However, it has 6 probes, and each probe is wired, which means that I get a mass of twisted wires when I'm smoking multiple meats together, not to mention that it looses connectivity with my phone after about 50 feet, so I still need to be relatively close in order for the temperature alarms to work. I have been looking for a better solution, so I thought I would try this wireless meat thermometer. My impressions: - This is a fully wireless probe that communicates directly with the cell phone. No wired probes here! - Getting it configured/paired with my phone was a challenge. The directions in the manual are sparse, and they don't quite match the reality of setting things up. It turns out that the probe cannot be paired with the phone while it is inserted into the base; it must be removed first. After that, it pairs after several seconds but there is no indication on the app that pairing is occurring; the first change after multiple seconds is that one of the 6 available probe panels starts showing a temperature gauge and allows alarm levels to be set. - The base and the probe can be charged separately or together. If together, the flashing lights indicate both the state of the base charge and the probe charge, which can get confusing if one is charged (green) and the other isn't (red). - Once paired, the probe works very well. The app is easy to use and has preset alarms for various types of meats at different done-ness levels, or you can set custom values. - Distance wise, the probe can handle a much greater distance than my current thermometer. I can be working in my office and still stay connected. Win! - The app handles up to 6 probes, but since each probe is expensive I probably won't be filling up all available slots... This is a nice replacement for the clumsy setup I'm currently using and handles far greater distances, but it is not perfect. I have a large smoker and I typically cook 3-4 different types of meats simultaneously, so this probe will need to be used in conjunction with my current thermometer when I'm mass cooking. Regardless, it's convenient enough that I expect to get heavy use of it; recommended!

Bought this meat thermometer in July 2023, I used it twice, and it stopped working. Terrible product. Do not buy.

These work well, the temperature is off a bit. It says 165, but the temp is at ~140. Just have to remember this when using.

I only get Vine items that I plan to use personally and I do a fair review based on my assessment and use of the product. I leave 1 star up to 5 stars if I really like the product and didn't find any issues with it. This wireless meat thermometer was easy to set up, for me at least, once I had charged it. The app was a little confusing at first, but I think most people should be able to figure it out. Some people seem to think you have to charge this before each use, but if you keep it in the case, it should be charged and ready to go when you need it as long as you charge the case once in a while. I thought the range was ok, but not super great from inside my oven. I think that is pretty normal with all the obstructions. As far as accuracy, I think it is good. I tested it in ice water as you can see in my pictures and it measured 33.3 F. I used it for a steak and set it to medium rare and it lets you know when it reaches that temp so I think it works well. Is it perfect, no, but for the most part I am happy with it and like having a wireless probe vs having to check manually all the time. I hope this wireless meat thermometer lasts me a long time, but I will update my review should I have any trouble with it in the future.
