Just don't try to inspect the blades, like in the photos--that's dangerous! They are very sharp and will bite you if you try, but you don't need to--they do the job very effectively. This is so easy to use and clean. I use it on chicken so I can flatten it to make chicken parm. I also use it on steak so I can bread and fry it. It doesn't take much effort to put the blades through the meat. There is also very little chance you will get cut by the blades- so it is safe too. Easy to tenderize while pushing through the seasonings sprinkled on meat. I have tried both chicken and pork with excellent tenderization results. Will try steak soon - of course it depends on the cut.
