We got this chair for our 90 year old 4’9” mother, she is 200+ lbs. based on the information given by the seller we purchased the wide model which comes in 3 boxes. The good: it assembled in less than 30 minutes with 2 adults and didn’t require any tools, but lining up the arms took a lot of that 30 minutes; it fit her size perfectly so petite people should buy this chair and so far she is very comfortable in it. The thing to watch out for; for wide, there’s 3 boxes. FedEx delivered 2 boxes and we called the next day to figure out what happened to the 3rd box. The seller informed us that there were only 2 boxes, whoever answered your phone doesn’t know your product. The following day FedEx delivered the 3rd box. So if you ordered the wide model, make sure you get 3 boxes, and they are heavy. ... show more

I purchased this chair when my mother moved into an assisted living facility. I received it in a timely manner and assembled it. I raised it to the upright position, only to find that it did not function beyond that. Nothing. It would not go down. The massage and heat elements worked, but not the primary functions of the chair, which was raising and lowering to allow ease of access for my elderly mother. I wrote to Amazon to tell them of the issue. They responded that as it was purchased from a 3rd party seller, I would have to seek resolution from them. For the past 7 weeks, I have had my emails lost, the order disappear from my order history, I have had messages saying that I am sending to an unmonitored mailbox. In short, the main issue - the $700 chair not functioning - is my problem, not that of the seller who sent an obviously defective product. Instead, I have repeatedly been confronted by avoidance of the issue, ignorance that a problem exists and a complete lack of responsibility on the part of the seller or the umbrella organization (Amazon) that permits the sale of this product through their portal. What do I want? Initially, I would like the courtesy of a response that at least acknowledge that this problem exists. Next, I would like either a complete refund of the purchase price or a replacement chair. No, I do not have the original packaging, as the assisted living facility where my mother lives does not have storage for such an eventuality. This issue has been unresolved since early January.
