This chair is indicated to be for a small person (mother is 4'11" now). I compared supposed specs to that of her Golden Technologies petite small lift chair (wanted a different chair with a footrest extension) and even though the specs were supposed to be comparable, they definitely are not. I am 5'7', and it would be the perfect size for me. The armrests are too cushy, making it difficult for mom to grab ahold of them while trying to transfer from her wheelchair to the lift chair. The seat is also too deep, even with a pillow placed behind her back. The chair practically envelopes her. Brother assembled and noted no difficulty there, but the chair is not for petite persons. I am now going through the hassle (long story--many messages later) of returning said chair; nightmare with FedEx. Moral of the story, if you're average height, go for the small chair. On to the next thing!!

I like how this chair fits, not oversized for me. It is comfortable & a fair value. Putting together is fairly easy just a little challenging for a senior couple but we got the job done. 😉

I wasn't sure about this chair but we shopped around and a lot of the recliner chairs we were looking for had a lot of features we like but they were too large for my 5'2" disabled father. The delivery was poor because they left it over to the other side of my house. Luckily nobody took the items. It was very accessible for anyone to just roll away with the items being over on the other side of the house. So make sure you NOTE on delivery instructions to deliver in front porch or else you don't know where it will exactly be delivered. I'd give less stars for that but the item itself is incredible. My Dad loves this chair and on the first day, he wasn't sure because he had to figure out the operation. Mind you he has had a stroke and doesn't function quite the same mentally but he is still easily able to learn to use this chair and uses the lift on it all the time. He absolutely loves the chair and wants me to buy another one! I was surprised. I'm so happy to see my Dad sitting so happy on his new recliner. It comes with a massage that he also learned to use as well to my surprise. It's a good size for my father and I. I bought insurance on it because it was so mechanized so hopefully insurance will keep their word on actually covering any future damages. It has heat as well for my father who doesn't have the best blood circulation. I am glad that the heating feature allows for him to keep is other leg warm. He doesn't use that as much as the massage function though. Overall, I'm genuinely pleased and happy and I hope this item continues to last because it's made my father quite happy. He has so many features and the perfect size. I'm just so glad I found this chair. I searched and searched and went to local stores that charge extra for delivery and installation. This was better than I could have imagined. I was concerned because it required some installation but I did it in about 20 mins. Surprisingly so easy and fast. Just connect, connect, connect... So easy for me at least. I would've had to pay an additional $50 for a service person had I ordered a recliner through a popular furniture store. Overall, if you are on the smaller size, this chair matters because the "regular" chairs they sell in most furniture stores appear to be for taller men. If you are 5'6" or less, consider this one. We absolutely love it and I love it because I see my Dad happy using it EVERY DAY. :D

I purchased this item to hopefully ease the back pain my invalid wife has endured from a fall on carpeted flooring. The chair is both quiet and comfortable to me but of course is not perfect. The geometry of hinge points doesn’t match my 4’ 10” wife’s back & seat length to support her lower back when the back is reclined anything beyond just slightly. The motion of the linear actuators is slightly jerky in certain phases of operation which aggravates her tender joints. I visited a higher end furniture store in my area & sat in at least 10-12 different chairs which were of differing functions to gain a basis of understanding of desired features. The retail store pricing was at least 3 to 4 times of this online dealer. The physical assembly was straight forward but the wiring connections were in slightly different locations than the illustrations from the instructions. A little patience and all details were properly connected and the controls worked well. I am pleased with the function for myself and may reorder in a standard size chair (this unit was for someone 4’6” to 5’2”). The vibration modes were functional however the heating pad temp was only a small increase above room temperature. Rather than return it I will likely resell it to an individual as I fell it has high value for its price.

What a great recliner with all the bells and whistles! It lifts, it massages, it heats, and it doesn't just recline. It reclines all the way to full on horizontal! I had shoulder surgery a few months ago and I so needed a recliner and suffered for not having one. Now I am facing back surgery and I was not going to be without one this time. I knew I would find the best one on Amazon! It even arrived early and on my birthday!! I am now about to do a 30 minute heated massage. Absolute best recliner, lift chair for the money!!!
