  • So far so good/ Update ..not so good a week later..Update 3..All is much better now.
Color: Dark Brown Size: Large
I'm an older gal and I put it together myself it only took about 45 minutes to drag the 3 boxes inside and put it together. The directions are pretty generic, but good enough to figure it out. I put most of the wires together before I added the arms and back, so it was a bit confusing until I realized that the back ALSO has wires that have to be hooked up. You don't need any tools to put the chair together. But if you are doing it by yourself and no help, keep the boxes handy as they can help to hold up different parts of the chair in order to be able to work on it easier. Afterwards, I sat in it to try it out, and I really like it. I am 5'7 and it fits me perfect. Unfortunately, the person this chair is for is 6'2 so not sure if they will like it but if they don't that's fine, I'll be glad to take it over. ...This chair is really on the smaller side. I expected it to be much larger since it was advertised for larger and tall people. But it's not. The old chair it is replacing was a normal rocker/recliner and it was quite a bit wider than this. There are 2 wall plugs for this chair. One is just for the heater/massage control. The other is for the motor on the chair. The heater/massage plug will take up the entire wall socket, unless it's turned upside down. I bought a smart surge protector with enough plugins in it so it can be shut on or off at will. The massage part isn't too bad. It's certainly not an actual massage or anything; it's more like vibration but there are different modes as well as intensity. Just make sure that if you have any pets sitting on the foot rest ..hang on to them as they will shoot off like a rocket feeling the chair rumbling and growling at them. lol The heat so far is not real noticeable, but I didn't leave it on long enough to really tell. But I did find you can set it for heat only, just takes some maneuvering around with the right buttons. The chair isn't really noisy when in massage mode but you can definitely hear it. I would say it could use a little more padding in the back and the seat, but it's alright as it is. It's soft but firm, if that makes any sense. Just hope this will hold up for them. I may go ahead and buy one for myself if it does. Update a week later: The roommate hates the chair. The massagers on the foot rest poke up to the top of the foot rest and they hurt his feet/ankles no matter where he sets them. I checked this out myself and he was right..they are very uncomfortable. I originally reported to the company about a pin head size hole in the back of one arm when I received it. They got right back to me, but since it wasn't where there would be pressure and it was also well hidden in the back of the chair, I told them to forget the problem.. HOWEVER. Now, I had noticed this chair is getting very jerky and clunky when it's raised up and almost tips a little to the side and it seems to be getting worse. I happened to be sitting across from the front of it the other day and noticed that this entire chair is uneven, The right arm sits up at least 1 inch taller than the left. Both arms were installed all the way down before the back was put in.. This is unacceptable and may well be why the whole chair is jerky. But the way it is, it isn't going to hold up at all. And as I said, the room mate hates the way it wobbles and jerks and the painful massagers that poke up...He won't even use the massager now. No sense in buying a chair that he needed and then unable to to use it.. He's not a large person about 195 lbs but he is 6'2. UPDATE: I contacted the company with my dilemma and they got right back with me. They shipped me a new chair right away and I shipped the bad one back. They paid for the return. The new chair is working well, seems much more solid and roommate's not having any problems with it now, other than the foot rest massager is still uncomfortable. The foot rest definitely needs more padding. Hopefully, this chair will hold up better. I read for hours about other reviews on chairs and thought this would be the one to buy, as many of the reviews for this chair are very good. I think this chair was just a bad one. The newest one seems to be better made, and the customer service is fantastic !! Wish all businesses were as concerned and accommodating as this one is. ... show more

  • Buy the chair!
Color: Grey Size: Large
I ordered this in anticipation of a hip replacement. Because of back issuesI cannot sleep flat in a bed. This has been a lifesaver. It’s upright and straight enough to get out of easily, even when not using life. The headrest has a pillow built in, which is nice. But it’s not your fluffy, big, comfy recliner. It’s also not super big. I’m 5’8 and my feet are at the edge. I took a twin feather mattress cover and put it from head to foot. I took a twin sheet and covered that and it elevated the comfort level. The chair has heat and massage….which has also been great. I’ve slept in and used the massage for the last 2 weeks! If you are in doubt…..buy the chair. ... show more

  • Use your hard-earned money for a better chair this brand is built very poorly
Color: Black Size: Large
This chair is very poorly made and I'm currently on discussion with the company also known as the third party and getting a refund for it I am disabled and very much need the services of this year and it is falling apart after a year and a half the bolts on the scissor Carriage that races and lowers the chair are falling out the bushings that allow the bolts to Glide easily as the chair lifts and lowers have completely worn through the back of the chair is coming apart and sitting in the chair I actually lean further back on the right side of my body than on the left side I have no support to speak of on the right side of my body because of the back coming apart for no apparent reason the USB port that the chair comes equipped with has stopped working the chair seat is too thin and you actually will feel toward the seat back where the top of your hip starts the rubbing of a metal bar which makes it very uncomfortable to sit in besides not having enough padding this chair is considered the extra large chair and I'm 6 ft 2 and my feet protrude off the footrest of the chair by about 7 in which is not comfortable the chair does not allow for a person to pull their leg up and move their body position because the chair fits too tight to the body the cup holders interfere with the raising of your leg and your knee will actually rest on the cup holder which is also very uncomfortable the padded back and headrest are overly padded and doesn't allow for a comfortable neck position I am hopeful that the company will see its way and refunding my money I'm going to send pictures of their request I hope that they won't be difficult to deal with seeing how this chair is very important to me dealing with my disability and I need to purchase a chair that will provide me the comfort that I need I honestly would warn against buying this chair it's too bad it's a good looking chair I will say the covering seems to be pretty durable but it doesn't do what it's supposed to be designed to do and that is to provide you with comfort and to make it easier for a person to recline and position itself so that a person is more easily able to stand up for which I do need this help I would tell anyone looking to buy a lift chair to pass right on by this year I have read some of the positive comments on the same chair that I'm writing this comment on but I will tell you that those who are writing positive comments I don't believe are using the chair as much as I do and I think those people who write depositive reviews will find in probably two three maybe four years the same problems happening to them that I am experiencing you see I spend because of the nature of the illness that I deal with approximately 6 to 8 hours a day in this year maybe even more so if you're looking for an accurate review this review is one that you can trust I have nothing to gain or lose other than my money and as I said what this chair is supposed to provide it doesn't provide and that's very important to me to all who read this review I pray that God will bless your life be well and be safe let us all be more kind to our neighbor and treat others as we would want others to treat us if we did that we'd have a much better country in the world thank you ... show more

  • Love the chair
Color: Cream White Size: Large
We bought this for my husband after he had open heart surgery. It was a life saver for him when he was recovering. He finds it very comfortable. It was easy to assemble. It is a great chair for the cost. Our only issue is we don’t have it near a wall with an outlet so the cord runs across the floor.
