Not only is this chair easy to assemble (done by 77 year old woman), it is perfect for my husband. Fits comfortably in our small tv room and does not overpower my husband (5’7” 169 lbs). Wow! I did a lot of research and read reviews until I was blue in the face ... but I'm still SO IMPRESSED by this recliner! First and foremost, I should tell you that I needed to order a recliner that I could receive within 2 weeks because my hip replacement surgery got scheduled very quickly. This particular chair was delivered 5+ days EARLY. I put the chair together, going step by step (I there are 5 steps) and had it ready to use in 5 minutes. My husband came inside with his tool bag, ready to screw and tighten, wrestle and punch, and dedicate his evening to the mission ... and I said, "I got it. It's done." Worth it's weight in gold. I got the black one and love it ... it's a matte black and looks close to leather. You can tell by touching that it's not leather, but it also doesn't feel thin or cheap or easy to rip. Since I'm only in my 40's, I wasn't looking for a chair with stand assist, but this chair came with it and after testing it a few times, I feel like it's a great feature for surgery or anyone that needs a little help getting up. The seat and back are soft and cushiony, but not too much so. (I definitely didn't want a chair I had to climb out of!) And while it isn't "tight" from side to side, a small child or pet wouldn't fit with me sitting there (which I personally like). I love the creature comforts (cup holders & USB connections) and the fact that it reclines to almost flat (i believe they say 130 degrees). The only thing they don't spell out is that the remote needs to be fed through to the front before (or as) you put the back on. I think it's pretty obvious, but I noticed it wasn't mentioned in the instructions. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my selection - and all at a great price. My husband and son are constantly sitting in it (since I haven't had my surgery yet) and they both love it. I highly recommend this chair. ... show more

This was super easy to put together. No tools needed. I’m terrible at putting things together and I got it assembled in less than 30 minutes. Came in two boxes. I easily moved the two boxes into the house. One was 88 lb and one was 30. Lb. One had an arm rest and the base (the heaviest box) and the other had the other arm rest and the back of the chair. Two little feet with bolts had to be screwed in on the bottom but was not difficult. The instructions are only two pages and only pictures. Very comfortable. Enough padding where you don’t feel the lift mechanism bars. USB ports on the side worked well. The motor is quiet and smooth motion from reclining to lifted into a standing position. I got this for my father who is 77 and has bone cancer. He had a huge smile on his face when it lifted him up and made it easy for him to stand. I will update if there are any problems, but so far this is a great chair for the price. I got the dark brown and the color is beautiful. No funny chemical smell either. If you are thinking about getting it for an elderly person, it would be great. My dad is 5’8” and 240 lbs. perfect fit for him. ... show more

Purchased one of the lift recliners 01/23/24 and it has been excellent. The motor mechanisms work great and have continued to do so. The bottom cushion sank in and was not comfortable anymore. I wrote to the company and asked what my options would be getting it fixed. They answered my email within 24 hours and told me they were sending a new bottom for the chair. All of this occurred in less than a week. I haven't had this good of customer service from anyone in a long time. They DO stand behind their product. The chair is extremely comfortable again and has a rich leather appearance even though it is faux. ... show more

I love it. It fits me perfect. I am short 4’11” so I ordered the smaller chair & it fits great. It has an extended foot rest that supports my legs better than a larger one. Chair is very comfortable. Had to assemble, took 10-15 min. Very easy.
