I was in a car accident on Christmas Eve that broke 3 ribs that are slightly displaced. They don't do anything for broken ribs but send you home with pain meds and directions to be careful. I have found I can't sleep in a bed or our motorized reclining couch without pain, not to mention trying to stand up, I had to keep waking my husband up to help me up. Nights were horrid. So after trying everything else I could think of, I went hunting for a lift chair and after lots of research ordered this one. I wanted lift, dual motor, lay flat, heat and massage were a bonus. I also wanted an adjustable head rest because alot of recliners push my head forward causing neck aches. After sorting through lots of options I found this one, I am 5'6, about 260 lbs. It was ordered Friday and arrived Monday in 2 boxes. One box is very heavy and will require a hand truck or you can open it and carry pieces separate. Very easy to get into desired location because of the separate pieces. My husband assembled in around 45 minutes. First, the head piece does not push my head forward but a small pillow is helpful. The padding is FIRM. I like that but some might not. My bruised up back needed a pillow back there. The heat and massage are nice, the heat is very comforting to my bruised up back. My favorite thing and excellent for someone with broken ribs or post surgery? When you hit the button for the foot rest it sort of lifts up the chair and leans the whole thing slightly back while keeping your body stationary (except raising your feet) So there is no pain from the recline (why our electric recline couch was a problem, it felt like it was pulling on my ribs) I think they call that tv mode but I find it very comfortable to sleep. From there you can recline the back as you wish or not. Then when you want to get up the home button returns everything upright and you can use the lift to boost you up. I wish I had this chair from the get go, it would have saved me alot of pain. Very well designed for someone needing help with mobility or recovery.

Well built. I sleep in mine fully extended, pick your spot carefully or you can damage a wall. (Oops, my bad) Easy push buttons that are well lit for night time use. Straight back support, not sunk in like my old chair. Firm support. Very pleased with mine. I bought two and my husband is pleased also.

Most importantly, this is a very comfortable Chair. Quiet. Feels sturdy. Nice fabric. Minor frustration; arm rests are too high to be comfortable. Major frustration: I bought the medium size model, and it’s too narrow to allow my arms to fit by my sides. I’m 5’8” 200 lbs. wish I had had bought the larger size. But, it s too late now.

100% recommendation!!! My Dad said he should have ordered this chair years ago. It is so well made. The fabric is durable and cozy. Fits larger people. My father is 6’3 and 300+ (under the max weight limit) and the length is great. Fabric seems durable, but we will have to see how it holds up over the next several years. The chair moves slower than his previous chair, but works well for day one. Dad states he would order another one if needed.

I purchased this lift chair as I was having a very hard time transitioning from sitting in my 10 yr old name brand rocker recliner... And the springs had seen many better days. When attempting to stand as a rocker the front would go way down and getting my 6 up to where I was steady grabbing a walker could take 5-6 attempts. Lift chair DOES get my 6 up where it doesn't take much more for me to be vertical & easily grab the walker. So is it me or just different manufacturer but this is not as comfortable. I need time for my body to acclimate to it before I can really judge the comfort. I have a non operable low spinal disc problem that stops me from standing, walking or sitting upright. I spend 23 hr a day in the recliner feet up & laid back about 45*. Top of the backrest needs to angle 20+* forward for me because the top bolster in the back is right at my shoulder blades and holds my head way to far forward. I have to almost fully recline to equal out where supports hit my back and then my head on the headrest. I do like the extra additional footrest. Company includes a "lumbar pillow" (photo) but its a totally ugly color (to me). Error or joke? It might be a good headrest pillow for the times when the backrest does not fit me. It would be nice if it had a couple of Velcro strips that could lock into position. The cloth material is really nice. The actual assembly part of the Owner's Manual only has pictures without written instructions for the twist lock heat massage plugs. ONLY 2 of the 3 heat massage connectors from the back to seat have insert twist turn to lock together. 3rd one can be pulled out but initially I thought it was short wire and it came disconnected when I first tried the lift recline mechanism so the Heat Massage did not work. Simple fix to pull the wire out more but the interlock would be nice. Manual has pretty clear written instructions on how to use the 2 control remotes. I was lucky enough to find a wide enough space to plug the power supply into a UPS in case of power outage. They claim the chair can go from full recline to upright in 16 seconds using the "Home" button. I would hate to have to climb out of it in full recline position. UPS should handle the 16 seconds of power needed. 3 months - 6 months I will need to do an additional review on comfort and reliability.
