This made a HUGE difference. I was almost in tears at the difference. The goal is to use it till he learns not to lunge, and then to retire the collar. Sooo I never thought I'd use a prong collar (I'm a complete softie.) But my 65lb bully mix is waaaaay stronger than he looks, and he loves to chase motorcycles, bikes, even wheelchairs (anything on wheels, really.) One time he pivoted and bolted so hard that I spun around and fell into a cactus...lots of bruises and needles. I decided this is a matter of safety. I would never be able to forgive myself if my dog got hurt or someone on a motorcycle got into a wreck because my dog lunged at their bike. And it's completely unacceptable for him to freak out on people in wheelchairs. He's not actually aggressive, but he comes off as such, and I just cannot allow him to behave that way. I was at the end of my rope, and I actually have cried on many a walk with him. I didn't want to try a gentle leader, because I've heard they can cause neck injuries, and I'm almost certain this would be the case with my dog. I have tried a no pull harness with front and back leash connections, and while it gave me more control when he would lunge, it did not stop the behavior at all, so while I felt better about him not choking himself out, it did nothing to deter him from doing it. I considered sending him to a dog school (but my neighbor told me that he didn't get the results he thought he would, even after sending his puppy to school for weeks.) First I wanted to see if this last ditch effort would work before I spent thousands of dollars. It has, from what I can tell. The first night, within about 5 minutes, THREE motorcycles drove past us. The first time he did what he always does and lunged so hard that he was on his hind legs and barking, but he stopped pretty quickly. The second time he lunged, but with way less effort. The third time he had a reaction, but didn't really lunge at all, just pulled a tiny bit. I was in shock, I couldn't believe it. So I took him out again tonight, and he still pulled a little, but then would stop quickly, so he's still learning how to behave on the prong collar. Now (it seems) I don't have to worry about him lunging at bikes, other dogs, or other people; I feel like a weight has been lifted. Now obviously it will take a little time for all this to become a pattern that will lead to him not needing the collar anymore, but it's really the lesser of two evils in this case. It takes a little work to get the collar in the right spot (snuggly below his ears and higher up on the neck, but not tight, so we're working on that.) The collar seems to be high quality and comes with extra rubber prong covers. Sorry for the novel, but I feel like this collar might help some dog owners. I'd say it's like gastric bypass surgery: it's a TOOL you use to achieve desired results. You don't have to use this thing forever. Just make sure you use this collar CORRECTLY. I even did what many others do and tried it on myself. It doesn't feel good, but it's not excruciating, only uncomfortable when you tug on it. Fingers crossed I can retire this collar soon, but I am so happy to have it for the time being. Game changer.

I looked and read every review for pinch collars and landed on this one. It was the only one that did not mention their dog slipping out in the reviews. It is smaller that I thought, but that is a good thing. I love that it is covered so people don't think she is not a mean dog with a big metal collar and I love that it has little rubber covers. It is light enough, which I like. And, the clip locks - more ease of mind. Easy to put on and off. Most importantly, it works!! We have been training so she stops reacting to other dogs. She is doing great! I do loosen it when we she is not pulling and take it off when we get. home. She does not seem to mind it and she the fact that it works makes me very happy. Worth the money!

Very good quality. Worked wonders on our insane Pyrenees husky mix. Erza is cray cray, built like a barrel and stronger than me. She responded immediately and did not pull while wearing this collar. No pain was displayed she didn’t even try. YMMV but this unruly bitch is very submissive when wearing this color

This collar works exactly as described! I have a 8 month old Newfoundland puppy who started pulling with only one walk in this collar he understands not to pull not. I love how it comes with rubber covers to put over the prongs to ensure it doesn’t cause pain or distress to my dog. But like with any training tool to be effective it must be used correctly as any training tool can become harsh in untrained hands! Many helpful videos on YouTube for correct placement and how to use. Best placement is upper neck behind ears, this way if the dog pulls the collar is not directly on the trachea, preventing harm to the dogs airway! Over all amazing tool to use to get your dog in the routine of not pulling. And easy to transition from this to regular collar. Now in a nylon only collar without prongs my Newfoundland doesn’t pull and learn to focus solely on my vocal commands like “heel” Using this collar without any other training will not solve the pulling issue as it is only and aid. But using it until a dog understands “heel” is very beneficial!!! Would buy and use again!

I received this collar today for my 11 month old healer, boxer, bulldog mix. She would about jerk my arm out of socket with a regular collar and leash. The Mayerzon no pull collar had her healing after three corrections. I wish I had gotten it sooner but was I was intimidated by the "spikes". They did not hurt her at all but made her uncomfortable enough to mind. Fit is true to size and product seems well made. I highly recommend this product.
