Description

If you have ever wrestled with a kickstand on an uneven trailer floor or tried to balance a motorcycle solo while loading it into a garage bay, you already know how quickly things can go wrong. The MaxxHaul 80077 Motorcycle Wheel Chock was built specifically to eliminate that problem. It holds your front tire securely in place the moment the wheel rolls in, so you can focus on the task at hand rather than on keeping your bike upright.

  • Does as advertised, worked fine on my Harley Davidson Heritage Classic Does as advertised, worked fine on my Harley Davidson Heritage Classic
Color: Yellow
I was wondering how this chock would work based on all the various reviews but I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, it works great, bolted nice and stable to my trailer, and firmly held all my bikes. To give some facts to the Harley concerns I read, one of my bikes is a 2022 stock Heritage Softail Classic with a very low front fender in the back, about 7 inches of clearance off the ground. I moved the rear stop to the lowest point on the bracket and slowly rode the bike on watching for the potential fender damage most claimed was a concern. The way the stop engages is in a rolling lift as the tire moves in and hugs the back of the tire as it rocks forward when the bike moves up to the front. I had no clearance issues and had room to spare. The bike was firmly held in an upright position and I was able to easily strap it down without issue. No issues with this Harley and would recommend to others, just be sure to test your setup as well to be sure as all bikes are different. Hope this helps clear up some concerns :-) ... show more

  • Excellent product! Works very well.
Color: Yellow
Excellent product! Works very well. Installed two of these on my flatbed trailer. Hauling a 2017 HD Roadglide special and a 2004 HD Softail Deuce. Easy to load onto trailer, holds bike while you strap it down, can now load both bikes by myself. Assembly only takes about 5 minutes. Instructions are very straightforward and clear with very nice pictures. Installation was a snap, drill four holes and bolt it down with the provided hardware. ... show more

  • Good Wheel Chock
Color: Yellow
Mounted this to my 6x8 trailer. Worked well although the "locking" lever would not work for my bike as the front tire was just too big (as in diameter). It will fit a plenty wide tire and is very sturdy construction. Otherwise I am very happy with it. It was easy to install but one item of note is the bolts are metric. I had to get longer bolts for my particular trailer bed and the hardware store did not have metric bolts of the same size so I had to buy a whole new set of bolt with lock nuts and washers. No biggie but something to keep in mind when you install. For the money it is a great value. ... show more

  • Works like a champ!
Color: Yellow
Bought this to tack onto a friends utility trailer so I could tow my Ducati Multistrada ~200 miles. Bolted this to the floor of my buddies wooden floor utility trailer using hardware included with the chock. Front tire rolled perfectly into the chock providing great support. Used the Ducati's triple clamps to mount to floor tie downs and the chock worked like a champ. The chock's price point is reflected in quality of materials. The chock by itself is OK but you definitely want some solid tie down points to hold your bike in place. The chock provides significant lateral tension which should be augmented on your trailer with front tie down points. I augmented the front tie down points with rear tie down points attached to the rear part of the frame but in hindsight I'm not sure the rear tie downs were necessary. IMO the key to stabilizing the bike was the chock and adjacent front tie downs; the rear tie downs were nice but I'm not sure requisite. Straps from the triple clamps to the trailer floor with strong tension along with this chock worked like a charm to haul the bike for over four hours. ... show more

  • Good motorcycle wheel chock
Color: Yellow
Well made antd stout. I have a 13 streetglide so am not using the flip up tire block since it would hit the back of the fender. Also if your bike has twin front rotors be careful running it in and have someone else set the first two strap so you don't lean the bike over as the front hoop will contact the rotor. Probably wouldn't matter but why take the chance. Mounted it on a full 4x8 sheet of real 3/4 plywood in bed of truck after unhooking the 5th wheel plate. Left the 2 rails there of course and notched the plywood in 4 places to provide access so I could strap the bike to the cross wise 5th wheel bars? or whatever they are. Since I have a 100gal "L" shaped slip tank and tool box on that my 8' bed is short and the plywood extended out to the end of the tailgate. The back tire weight was spread out by the plywood and works fine. Without the tank/box in the truck this setup would allow you to close the tailgate in most situations. To compensate for that I used a couple straps from the Ford box corners to keep the bikes rear tire centered while driving home from the job here in Wyoming to wester Washington state. Questions etc send me a note with your email and I can send you a picture' Bob ... show more

  • Love this chock!
Color: Yellow
Very happy with this chock. Very sturdy, solid steel and well constructed. I purchased it for mounting on a flatbed trailer. It was well packaged and came with heavy duty mounting bolts and lock nuts. The three position adjustment on the flip-up tire cleat made the chock fit perfect on my big Yamaha Royal Star Venture. NOTE: This chock made to be bolted down inside a trailer or pick-up bed(Yes you STILL have to use tie down straps!). If you're wanting something to use like on a garage or shop floor, you'd need to secure it to a non-sliding heavy base of some sort because it's not made for that type of application, and they say that in the product warnings. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive m/c tire chock for transporting your m/c, and AGAIN, you still need to use tie-down straps. ADDENDUM: : Worked with the chock today and found one minor issue. My double brake rotors on both sides of front wheel only had 1/8 inch of clearance from the chock bars and would have banged or scraped the chock when trailer was moving. I considered several options, a couple of which involved bending the bars of the chock which I did NOT want to do. I finally settled on putting a 1/2 inch thick plastic spacer on the floor plate of the chock (under the tire) which raised the tire and thus the rotors, so that both cleared the chock completely: Happy with the results. ... show more

  • Great for transport
Color: Black
I bought this chock to transport my vintage bike in a trailer. It works great, is heavy duty and inexpensive. it must be secured to something like the floor. Once the bike's front tire was in the chock it was stable enough that i could tie down the rest of the bike without help. It did not move for some 2500mi of road travel. ... show more

  • Great product!
Color: Yellow
Easy to install and even easier to use. I have an 800# Gold Wing Aspencade and I'm able to load it and tie it down without any assistance at all. The wheel chock actually holds the bike upright so I can put the handlebar straps on without having someone else there to steady the bike. This wheel chock will work on any trailer, enclosed or open. I also like the ability to remove the chock as I use my enclosed trailer as a work shop when on the road. The black mounting plate stays on the floor, and the yellow rack comes off with 4 bolts. I'd recommend this to anyone with a large road bike. ... show more
