I've been using this for a while to clean the heads on my reel to reel tape deck. It has worked really well. While I can't be sure that it's definitely 99.9%, it is a very high percentage of isopropyl, which I can tell since it evaporates evenly and quickly off of a piece of glass. Try that with 70% from a drug store and it takes a long time to fully evaporate. Also, while this states it's not for medical use (and you shouldn't use it to sanitize anything. 70% is actually the most effective in breaking down cell walls and destroying bacteria. It's counter-intuitive, since most of the time, a higher percentage of something will be more effective, but alcohol is an exception) I have poured some over a bandaid before removing since it softens the glue and makes removal much less painful. With that, it will also remove glue residue from many surfaces. It can sometimes take a little work, but it's effective. I'll give the standard disclaimer that you should always "try it in a small and inconspicuous spot first". I would follow that since it can definitely damage some surfaces; especially finishes and clear plastics. Three more things: 1) seal the bottle well and keep it in a dark and not-too-warm place, otherwise it will evaporate the contents of the bottle quickly. 2) keep in mind that you should try not to breathe this in (you're probably going to be fine if it's just a small amount) and keep in mind that this is incredibly flammable since it vaporizes quickly. Don't light anything near it, nor use it in any kind of heating or lighting device unless it says to do so and you know what you're doing. This is strong stuff. 3) Wear eye protection and try not to get too much on your skin since it will absorb into it.

This a Great Product. Was packaged well and arrived in excellent condition. No bottles were damaged and no leaks what so ever. This is true 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol and the smell is one indication of that and the other is the small cut on my thumb that when I removed the seal under the cap it burned like the dickens, but killed any germs. I saw this is Top Quality Isopropyl Alcohol in 16 perfectly sized bottles for placement in my shelves and in my storage cabinet. Easy to pure from the long necked bottles with no spill. I really do not understand some people that weigh this and say it does not weight right. Alcohol does not weigh like water or Maple Syrup it is in a 32 ounce VOLUME container as stated. You can check this out on any weight of compounds and materials per volume looked up.

I picked up this 4 pack of MaxTite 99.9 percent isopropyl alcohol so I would stop running out every time I had a cleaning or repair project, and it has been very useful to have on hand. The bottles are sealed well and the alcohol is clear and strong. I use it mainly for cleaning electronics, tools, glass, and prepping surfaces before applying tapes or adhesives. It cuts through oils and residue quickly and evaporates cleanly without leaving streaks. Having four 32 ounce bottles instead of one big jug is convenient. I keep one in my main tool area, one near my computer setup, and another with my general household cleaning supplies. I also dilute some down to a lower percentage in a spray bottle for lighter cleaning tasks. You do have to remember that 99.9 percent is highly flammable, so storage and ventilation matter, but as long as you handle it responsibly it is a great bulk option. For anyone who does a lot of DIY, electronics, or general cleaning, this pack is a solid value.

I bought this product for cleaning electronic assemblies and TEDs. Works as expected, would buy again. Note: there is a review here that says the manufacturer is ripping you off with "proof" being a bottle of this isopropyl alcohol being placed on a scale and coming up short of 32 ounces with respect to weight. If you look at the bottle it states that it contains 32 fl. oz. of product. That's "Fluid Ounces" a measure of volume, not weight. Easy trap to fall into but a trap nonetheless. Alcohol is lighter than water and we would expect it to weight less than 32 ounces, ounces being a measure of weight (or mass but we'll not go there), not volume. To put this into perspective, let's say we filled the bottle with molten lead (disregard the fact that the bottle, made of plastic, would melt.) You wouldn't expect it to still weigh only 32 ounces would you, even though the volume is 32 Fluid Ounces. It certainly would weigh more than the same bottle filled with water, or alcohol. In short: Fluid ounces is a measurement of volume, ounces is a measure of weight. You can't equate the two. And no, the manufacturer is not "ripping you off".

Fantastic value for the money. You can dilute with water if needed to get 90%, or 70% (AI can show you the amount of water to add to accomplish it for any amount). I always have isopropyl alcohol around for cleaning up epoxy, permanent markers and all kinds of stuff, and this is a great deal on bulk.
