  • Pure Magic in a Bag! Best All-Purpose Cleaner Ever!
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I am blown away by the Spicy World Citric Acid. I originally bought it for one specific task, but it has quickly become my go-to for almost everything in the kitchen and laundry room. It is a truly amazing cleaner that delivers better results than expensive chemical sprays. Here is how I’ve used it so far: Washing Machine: I used this to clean my washing machine, and I couldn't believe it—the drum looks brand new now. Kitchen Appliances: It descaled my dishwasher and coffee pot to perfection, removing all that stubborn buildup that regular soap couldn't touch. Cookware: It removed the white film with ease off of my pots, restoring that original shine. Hard Water Stains: This powder removed hard water and iron buildup from my draining board effortlessly. Mug Restoration: It even restored my stained coffee travel mugs to look brand new again. Final Verdict: This food-grade, non-GMO powder is a powerhouse. It’s fine granular, easy to dissolve, and incredibly effective at tackling the toughest hard water and mineral deposits. I will never be without a bag of this in my house! ... show more

  • Useful in the dishwasher
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I bought this to make my own dishwasher soap. It comes in a 2 lb. bag that should last me a good bit. I need to tweak my recipe a little bit but overall it works well. I am happy with the texture and the price.

  • Great for Descaling.
Size: 10 Pound (Pack of 1)
Citric acid is citric acid. This brand has always arrived quickly, with no leaks, and is of good quality. We have relatively hard water where I live. And that's generally a good thing because it reduces corrosion of piping and reduces the liberation of lead and other heavy metals from the water distribution system. Do a search for Langlier Index. Anyhow, I use citric acid for dissolving hard water residue. The idea is to simply dissolve this largely high pH residue with an acid when necessary. And citric acid is excellent for this and has the benefit of not having an objectionable smell. Something people should realize is that using acid to dissolve scale buildup is simply a matter of using an acid to dissolve a base. Yet I see people mixing this acetic acid with baking soda or using it along with, for example, dish detergent. And that renders both chemicals less effective because they neutralize each other. Detergents are usually rather caustic bases (high pH). Adding an acid with them sort of defeats the effectiveness of both. I use it to descale my dishwasher and coffee maker, etc. And it makes sense to achieve the lowest pH possible (most acidic solution) to perform this periodic descaling. To that end, you want to run a run of ONLY the acetic acid to perform the descaling. What can work very well for descaling dishes along with your dishwasher is to first run the load as you normally would, using only your usual dishwashing detergent. Then, after that run is complete, run the load again, but this time using ONLY the citric acid. That second run will be at a very low pH, and will perform the descaling. If you use the detergent and the acid together, they tend to neutralize each other, and the run accomplishes very little. Look up the pH of your detergent. And don't defeat your acid and your detergent by mixing them or running them together. If you want to acid wash something, why mix a base with your acid? I also use citric acid to remove hard water residue from around my sinks, on pet water dishes, shower heads, sink spray heads, etc.. It doesn't stink the way acetic acid, sulfuric acid, or hydrochloric acids do. And it's food grade, so it has that going for it. I like to keep some around in my kitchen, ready to use any time I need to remove hard water scale. ... show more

Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Pure citric acid, 2 pounds, and it means business. Clean, strong, and exactly what it should be—no fillers, no funny business. Perfect for cleaning, canning, preserving, and DIY mixes. A little goes a long way, and this bag will last a good long while. Solid quality for the price—works like a charm and earns its keep. Cajun-approved and pantry-worthy. ... show more

  • Amazing Spicy World Citric Acid
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
This is the first time ever that I've purchased citric acid and I am so glad I found Spicy World - this acid is the only thing that has removed mineral deposits on the inside of my electric kettle, my insulated thermos (which I use for my fresh-brewed strong hot coffee every morning), and various pots and pans with shiny interiors. In the past I tried without success the usual: baking soda, dental tabs, vinegar, etc. Spicy World Ctric Acid works so well that I'm buying another bag because I have used so much of it to remove old stains. BTW: I watched a few YouTube videos about using citric acid before using it and found that I needed a larger amount than the video makers do. I suggest experimenting if your first attempt(s) don't clean off all the residue on your devices - IMO, the old build up of residue should vanish quickly, not take hours of soaking and reheating or replacing and reheating the soaking water. ... show more

  • Great for cleaning coffee percolators
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Percolators may not be in widespread use anymore, but that doesn't mean that they aren't out there. And in need of cleaning. This fits the bill perfectly. Oh sure, I could use vinegar or the reformulated brand name cleaner, but vinegar is unpleasant to use and the reformulated brand name cleaner is now all but worthless. A couple of tablespoons of this in the basket and one perk cycle results in a clean percolator every time. I've also heard you can use this for food prep, but I've not actually tried that myself. ... show more

  • Great for de-scaling!!
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Used this to help de-scale my kettle. It did the charm on the first use! Doesn’t seem to have a smell to it. it’s very easy to use and seals up nicely. I haven’t used it for baking so I can’t speak to its baking ability or its taste. The texture is like sugar?
