Used this material for cleaning out gear boxes of rebuilt kitchen appliances - it cut the old grease easily, and made the rebuild easy with a nice fresh environment for inspection, re-grease, and release. Any grease that wasn't dissolved loosened up into easily removed, soft globs. No seal problems on our batch, product evaporated cleanly without residue, and nothing seemed strange about the smell. Overall, no complaints, and by appearances, it seems to perform as advertised.

I use this mostly for cleaning electronics and flux on PCBs during soldering. I also use it to make custom cleaning solutions for optical glass. It's extremely pure and doesn't leave residue (unless you're dissolving residue to begin with). You're buying pure alcohol, virtually all solvent. If you're buying this to sanitize, you are wasting your money as it evaporates too quickly - which is part of why it smells so strongly. This is lab grade stuff; 70% alcohol is more effective at killing germs. I don't use a lot so even for a quart this is a great value. It only gets better as the cost per volume goes down. Haven't had leakage or seal issues.

Got what I paid for. Quality excellent, price is crazy high- IMO. For some reason u can’t hardly get this stuff at retail stores now; unsure why- backyard chemists? Miscreants? Maybe, but restriction of choice for security is a never ending downward spiral.

Works great for cleaning my products! I can’t find anything above 91% in stores so it’s nice to actually find 99.9% here. I also like that the gallon is separated into 4 quarts instead of 1 large bottle because it’s easier to poor and I tend to reuse the product… It’s much better poring used alcohol back into a quart bottle rather than contaminate an entire gallon in 1 bottle.

I bought this product for cleaning electronic assemblies and TEDs. Works as expected, would buy again. Note: there is a review here that says the manufacturer is ripping you off with "proof" being a bottle of this isopropyl alcohol being placed on a scale and coming up short of 32 ounces with respect to weight. If you look at the bottle it states that it contains 32 fl. oz. of product. That's "Fluid Ounces" a measure of volume, not weight. Easy trap to fall into but a trap nonetheless. Alcohol is lighter than water and we would expect it to weight less than 32 ounces, ounces being a measure of weight (or mass but we'll not go there), not volume. To put this into perspective, let's say we filled the bottle with molten lead (disregard the fact that the bottle, made of plastic, would melt.) You wouldn't expect it to still weigh only 32 ounces would you, even though the volume is 32 Fluid Ounces. It certainly would weigh more than the same bottle filled with water, or alcohol. In short: Fluid ounces is a measurement of volume, ounces is a measure of weight. You can't equate the two. And no, the manufacturer is not "ripping you off".

Excellent product at a bargain price. If your interest in this product is for making your own disinfectant spray, do the following: 100ml of isopropyl alcohol (99.9% purity) + 43ml water = 70% isopropyl alcohol solution 70% solution is the recommended strength for disinfectant spray.
