  • Smooth ride, powerful and worth it!
Color: Black
I’m really impressed with this scooter. It rides super smooth and feels very stable, even on slightly uneven roads. The speed is great for daily commuting, and the battery lasts longer than I expected. It’s also easy to fold and carry, which makes it very convenient. The build quality feels solid and durable, not cheap at all. The tires absorb bumps pretty well, and the brakes respond quickly, which makes me feel safe while riding. Overall, it’s a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a reliable and fun electric scooter. ... show more

  • solid scooter ,Happy with it
Color: Black
Had this Maxshot for about a week now. The 22 mph top speed is plenty fast for getting around town. Only has one brake, but it stops reliably even at top speed—no issues there. Ride is surprisingly smooth thanks to the suspension. Folds up easily, which is great for storing in the trunk or carrying inside. Battery seems to last, haven't drained it fully yet. Overall, solid build quality for the price. If you're looking for a fun, affordable e-scooter that gets the job done without breaking the bank, this is a good pick. • A really nice Scooter A really nice Scooter
Color: Black
I’ve been using this electric scooter for a few days now and I’m honestly very impressed. The setup was super easy, and the scooter feels solid and well-built right out of the box. The acceleration is smooth, and it reaches top speed quickly without feeling unsafe. I mainly use it for short commutes and running errands, and the battery life has been more than enough for my daily needs. What I like the most is how convenient and portable it is. It folds easily, which makes it simple to store in my car or bring indoors. The ride is also quite comfortable, even on slightly rough roads. ... show more

  • An old man, a scooter, and no medical bills after 150 miles. : ) An old man, a scooter, and no medical bills after 150 miles. : )
Color: Black
[update] I previously mentioned having low expectations for the Tula app based on past experience. Unfortunately, it has performed just as poorly with this device. After 4–5 weeks of use, ride tracking is no longer reliable, if it works at all. Most rides aren’t tracked, some show 0.0 miles with a battery usage of NaN%, and in one case the app reported a ride of –0.7 miles (yes, negative miles). WHY THIS MATTERS: the app is the only way to change key scooter settings. If the app can’t be trusted, I’m no longer comfortable locking the scooter (it may not unlock when I need it to), or switching out of S mode because I may not be able to switch it back. There are many scooters with similar performance and pricing, so my recommendation is to choose one that has UL certification (which this scooter does have) and an app other than Tula. As for the scooter itself, it has performed well - I’ve logged over 200 miles with no issues. Unfortunately, the poor app significantly limits its usefulness, and I now believe there are better options available. [end update] I purchased the version with the 10" solid tires and have ridden about 150 miles in the first 30 days of ownership. Here’s my experience so far. Context: Mostly flat city streets, with varying pavement quality. I weigh 185 lbs. Suspension: initially, the suspension stiffness combined with the solid tires caused a lot of vibration—enough to rattle my eyeballs like a steel ball in a pachinko machine. Over time, however, both the shocks and tires seem to have loosened up, resulting in a noticeably more comfortable ride. Brakes: The brakes needed some adjustment out of the box, as the initial braking power was weak. Fortunately, tightening them was quick and easy. Charger: The charger, well, works. The app does say it is 100% charged WELL BEFORE the light on the charger turns green. Speed Modes: There are three speed modes: the fastest being S (Sport mode) with a top speed of 22 mph - and I have reached that at times. The next fastest cuts the top speed in half to 11 mph. I really wish there was something between these two as I’d prefer to scoot along at a more efficient manner than full speed, but 11 mph is too slow. And yes, you can simply let the throttle up a little to slow down, but with a better top speed I wouldn’t have to think about or monitor my speed. A bit jittery: One battery draining weirdness; when I have the scooter on, but locked through the app, sometimes the scooter goes into a state where it is constantly forwarding/reversing, putting it into this rocking motion. I have replicated it by putting the scooter in lock, then nudging it. Mounting Brackets: There are two pairs of vertical mounting holes on the stem—one facing forward and one facing the rider. These appear to be a standard pattern and allow certain accessories, such as hooks, to be mounted directly. This is a nice feature, though it’s not mentioned anywhere in the promotional materials. Miles per Charge: I’ve not yet documented my charging so am only able to provide a general feeling of how the battery is performing; I hope to update with better numbers later. For now, I feel that consistently running the scooter with full throttle would provide me 10 - 15 miles of running. Easing back to around 15 mph tops seems to provide 15+ miles of running. Again, this is a very flat part of the world, on streets, and I am 180 lbs. Overall: The scooter has proven to be solid and dependable (so far). The 10" tires are more forgiving when hitting sidewalk cracks or potholes and offer slightly better handling. That said, it’s still a scooter and remains unforgiving of poor judgment. Despite being an old, clumsy fool, I’ve managed not to crash it—yet. At this point this scooter provides me my only means for traveling to stores, with my longest round trip being 10.5 miles. What I would like to see: A welded locking loop for securing the scooter would have been a great addition. The handlebar locking mechanism (used when the scooter is folded) should be able to be repositioned to the opposite side. That would provide more flexibility when mounting accessories like mirrors or phone holders. The kickstand could be a bit more substantial. If you have items in a basket or hanging from a hook, the scooter tends to tip over. The App:
The app is Tuya-based, so my expectations were low—and it met them. It’s barely useful and presents options in a confusing way. For example, it tracks distance traveled, which is great. However, when reviewing a ride, it simply draws a straight line between the start and end points on the map. If no actual route is shown, it’s hard to see the value of having a map view at all. Recommendation: Definitely recommend. I am very glad I purchased this scooter and am using it much more than I thought I ever would. ... show more

  • Great portability. Brakes & suspension questionable, heavier riders might want to spend more
Color: Black
I think this scooter would be 5 stars if I was under 200 lbs. Especially for the money. As a 250lb person the brakes are lacking and so is the shock absorption. I get bumpy vision when riding at top speed. Can't really explain it better, you can see the vibrations. The brakes also stop very slow. I was able to adjust slightly, but at speed I expect at least 15 ft of stopping room and I think that's why I docked it 1-star. I feel like I may get in an accident due to this without being careful. The acceleration is quite slow but adequate, I didn't expect a sport ride. It will struggle to accelerate up slight hills, and I think that would be true for a lighter rider. I read quite a few reviews and these people say the brakes are good? I question that. There's no dual brake. The front 'brake' is just the friction of the motor when you aren't giving it juice. That's how most electric engines work. I also saw several people saying how fast it goes. This thing reads KPH, not MPH. (You can change this in the App) No way are people getting this thing to 30 MPH. It's speed limit is 22 MPH. It's adjustable in the app. But that is the max. I believe this scooter can reach 22 MPH, especially if you're < 200 lbs. I get up to about 16 mph on flat smooth surfaces, of course the grade has a significant impact. Downhill it can get all the way to terminal velocity once you go off a cliff. I think it's a good scooter in every other way I didn't criticize. It does what it says and it's highly portable (length goes in back of any car. I'm struggling to find an upgrade at it's 45 in length or near it's 37 lb weight, which still requires a bit of oomph bending all the way down) Simple, sturdy, battery good for multi-mile trips. Good first scooter. It gets me where I want to go. Don't buy if you are will be on a lot of hilly streets. Struggles uphill and brakes struggle downhill. ... show more

The scooter is lightweight but sturdy, and it rides very smoothly. It accelerates quickly and the battery lasts long enough for my daily commute and short trips around the city. The folding design is also very convenient, making it easy to carry and store. The brakes feel safe and responsive, and the overall build quality is solid. I also like the modern design—it looks sleek and stylish. ... show more

  • This is a great scooter! This is a great scooter!
Color: Black
I bought this to commute to work in Columbus this summer. I absolutely love it! Granted, I have a very short commute. It is definitely so much fun and has already paid for itself in parking fees, garage parking is very expensive here. I am basically feeling like a 50 year-old kid on my scooter every morning! I do love the cruise control and I’m grateful that it has shocks on the rear and front. I got the 10 inch tires and I’m glad I did because rough roads and cracks on the sidewalk hit hard on these solid tires. I was afraid the smaller tires would result in a crash if I hit a pothole. Overall, I love my scooter and haven’t had a single problem with it. The app works great. I am considering an additional headlight though, it’s not quite bright enough for night riding in total darkness. Luckily though I am in the city so it’s not imperative that I get a new headlight. The second picture shows the LED lights I added underneath. I thought they were good for safety and I just like like lights! ... show more

  • Nice scooter but better quality control needed
Color: Black
This is the first (and only) scooter I have ever purchased, and I've found it to be an excellent choice for a first timer. It is very well built and durable and has all the important features and then some. The top 22 mph speed and 22-mile distance on a full charge is indeed achievable, and it supports my larger size (6 feet, 2 inches tall and 240 pounds) with no limitations. My only complaint is the apparent lack of quality control in both the manufacturing and fulfillment process. The initial scooter I received had loose brake cables that could not be tightened and a missing rear brake adjustment nut and had to be returned for a replacement. The replacement scooter I received had a charger which did not charge the scooter (seemed to be for a different scooter) and the handlebars were crooked and needed adjustment. Maxshot was responsive in providing a replacement scooter and fixing all the problems, but I could have done without the time and hassle of having to re-package and return the initial scooter as well as dealing with the other issues. It seems like this could have been prevented by having an effective quality control process or checklist in place or perhaps they do exist but are not being followed. But this is an excellent scooter and I do recommend it. ... show more
