Description

Cab size does not matter as long as you have the correct model and bed size. Visualize how MaxMate's Soft Roll-Up cover will be installed and operated. The number of clamps may vary depending on the bed length and vehicle model. Once installed, rolling up the cover tarp only takes seconds. And it will maximize the accessible bed space. Patented spring-action latch mechanism ensures secured and convenient way to store and access your valuable payload in the truck bed. Installation is very easy. Simply secure the side rails with the custom clamps either against the bed rails or utility track and lay out the tarp. Made of 24oz marine grade vinyl with aircraft grade aluminum crossbar for great protection against all weather conditions. Do the alternative brackets for utility track come with the cover? Yes. All the necessary hardware and instructions will come with the cover. If the cover fits the utility track, alternative brackets will come with the cover. Can I go to the car wash with the tonneau cover closed? Automatic car washes with wax treatments are generally not recommended, as the wax can damage the vinyl, and car wash brushes can damage the thread on the cover. Only touchless carwash is recommended & use water and normal soap to clean the cover. Can I close the cover when the tailgate is closed? It is important to latch down the cover before closing the tailgate. Make sure the cover is securely fastened and closed before closing the tailgate to avoid any damage or interference. Why the top of the cover is slightly arched? The middle crossbar of the cover is designed to be slightly curved to prevent water accumulation in the middle. This design ensures that water flows down and prevents pooling in the center of the cover. Where do I put the weather seal strip? You will only need to apply the seal strip on top of the bulkhead/tailgate or anywhere you see there is a gap between the truck bed and the cover. You don't really need it if all four sides are sealed and flush. Fitment, weight, ease of use and assembly was as intended and is of good expected quality. Only been on vehicle about 4 days! Meets expectations thus far. FYI: back story, was Distributed from Tyger Auto and through Tyger Auto service warehouse according to the box it came with two shipment labels on it, even though it's Maxmate Depot item and brand name on box from Amazon. Arrived in reasonable time, no complaints. FYI - what is weird is that I had ordered Tyger Auto covers twice last month, but twice they came in for the wrong vehicle and too long, for which I had ordered them for. Returned to Amazon. This one came in correct From MaxMate Depot through Amazon fulfilment and was spot on! But labels on the box stated it was from Tyger Auto through Amazon. Go figure. Bottom line, it was correct and fully satisfied. Just had to wait over a month to get previous shipments returned and credit for first two returns. When researching the MaxMate Depot item on Amazon, it appeared to be identical in design, in all respects to the Tyger Auto unit on Amazon, and I had one previously on a different vehicle that I liked, my goal was to purchase another one, same as. MaxMate Depot was it! Made and distributed by Tyger Auto, but as a MaxMate Depot unit. Strange! So, it's a Tyger Auto cover from them but a MaxMate labeled attached on the tonneau cover! I didn't have really high expectations, the price was too low, I figured I could make it work until I found a higher quality one. No need, this thing has been great! 100% waterproof, easy to install, easy to roll up and un roll. Couldn't be better. Almost 4 years and going strong. Highly recommend.

I have this on my 2011 F150 FX4, just put it on last weekend. While it's a pretty easy, straight-forward install, it still took us several hours of trial and error because the end just wouldn't latch properly for the cover to stay down at the tailgate. What we ended up having to do was physically use a tool or our fingers to push the spring button latches from behind into place under the rail, which isn't the easiest thing to do. I'm hoping with time and use, this issue will just break in and resolve itself. I don't want to have to use a rotary tool to notch out the aluminum rail, much less return it for an exchange, which would be a pretty big hassle at this point. That aside, it's a quality, superbly made cover as good as any other name brand out there and I was very pleased with the price and how fast it arrived to me. The support bars in the underside of the cover are arched ever so slightly to give it rigidity and support to prevent sag and to (hopefully) battle the snows that we get in Idaho. A support structure was really important to me for a 'soft' cover like this, which made more utility sense for me than a solid hydraulic cover. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I’m being picky, but I wish the connector to lock the roll top down was a clip versus a hook. But it still looks to be able to do the job. Detailed review: 1) instructions are all the way at the bottom of the bag. Follow them and it’ll be installed in about 15-20 minutes. 2) everyone’s truck is different, but for me lining up the side rails first using the notch for the tail gate worked perfect. See pics for more details. 3) the top is a little wavy in the wind compared to past covers. But no excess noise. Overall - I’m satisfied with the cover and may bump it up to five stars with time. Plenty of adjustment in the cover still so that might tighten things up a tad more. And if it shows that it’s durable it’ll definitely be a five star. My last cover lasted two years before the straps started to fail and I was worried the cover would rip off driving down the road. So this is the replacement cover that I’m going can last more than two more years. ... show more

The cover is very sturdy, easy to install, and operate. I have had no issues with my items in the bed getting wet during a rain storm or a car wash. I have owned it going on 5 years, and just now having minor issues with it. I have some tears on the corners developing, and the latch sometimes comes unlocked. It’s more of an inconvenience than anything. I have not reached out to the company about the issues, but have friends who have and had good customer service experiences. They were willing to send them replacement parts/cover at no cost. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

    • Great Fit/Look once installed. Make sure to not fully tighten siderails until fitted.

Easy to install on 2015 F150 Crew Cab took maybe 45 min with adjustments & road test. However, make sure to use provided gaskit if you rail at back of window is lower than side rails. You will need to make sure to leave siderail clamps just snug until you close cover with tailgate closed during intitial installation. I found that I had to adjust one side only locking slide less than 1/8 to ensure it fitted tight to rear gate top and closed properly. Then tighten and drive on highway at speed to test. I went back and rechecked the tightness of siderail clamps and round that a quarter turn more was needed. Once this was done the cover looks great. Will come back after about 10k miles and report how it holds ups. Hoping for rain today to test weatherproofing ability. Only two minor visual downsides: 1)it does sit up a bit more than some other tyes of covers. But again for the price, ease of installation, and hopefully durability I would recomend this product. 2) wish the side rail clamps were black to match LineX spray in liner. May go back and spray paint them myself. ... show more

,*UPDATE: So my wife has had this cover for almost 3 years now and loves it. Recently, a plastic corner piece that connects the frame together broke. Decided to contact seller and just asked how to buy extra parts. Hadn't paid attention when I bought it for the wifey that it has a TEN YEAR WARRANTY. Seller had a new part sent out to me right away, wife was able to swap out the broken part in five minutes. Awesome customer service. Very happy we got this. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My wife bought this for her F150. After taking everything out of the box and reading instructions, it took her less than 30 minutes to install on her truck. She did not need to additional weather stripping that was included, but it was handy to have two socket wrenches to tighten the brackets (one to hold top, one to turn from bottom). Cover fits nice and tight, and has extra adjustments to tighten if it stretches over time. Even without the extra weatherstrip, has kept water out of the bed when rolled out. Doesn't rub against the cab of the truck when rolled up. Very happy with the purchase, and great deal for the money. ... show more

Doing my research, I ended on this product. I had another truck with the same functions, and loved how no bows needed removed and stored, just roll it up, and that is it. Well of the two different things I was prepared for were plastic bed rails needing cut, and the end having a gap to the tail gate. For the first of the two issues, I thought I would get the cover installed, then take my time and cut the necessary plastic. For some reason, the clamps never contacted the plastic. Maybe they changed the clamp style, but try the install first and see if they touch, before you cut. For the second problem, mine did the same thing. The end would flip upward, looking like a spoiler. Because it was bran new, and the Tonneau cover material needed to stretch, I figured out how to keep the cover pulled into the down position. I was going to give it a week and let the material stretch. Well the material did not stretch, and it kept flipping upward. I knew this was probably due to too much tension in the material. I started to adjust the end pivot points, and found they were in need of adjustment. Now when you lock the cover down, the end stays down. This process is in the instructions, right after the page that says the installation is complete. Turn the page and perform the adjustments after a little time, and you will be very happy with this cover. ... show more
