I was very skeptical when I received the box because it was so light. However, I was quickly liking this little light beast. This weed wacker is way better than I had expected. It's very sturdy and I'm able to cut down some seriously tough weeds with these blades. And one battery lasts longer than I can in this AZ heat. I'm still on my first straight blade and I've done some serious damage to the weeds already, but the blade is holding up very well. I haven't even used one of the circular saw blades yet. Having 7 more of these blades, I'm sure this little machine will last pretty long and I'll definitely get my moneys worth. I'm 6'1" and it extends to a comfortable length for me.     • Darn good for the cost
I depended on the opinion of others and am quite satisfied with this product. It is lightweight and well balanced. We used it for clearing vines from the berry patch and it breezed right through them. It was a bit weak cutting through the half inch ones, but did the job. It's quiet and the battery life was outstanding. The downsides were that the shaft isn't that long and at 5'5", I had to hunch over a bit and it was tiring. The blade does not stop immediately upon releasing the trigger and could be dangerous. It is not a unit for lefties, either-the safety button is operated with the right thumb and I had to start the blade with my right hand, then switch the unit to my left hand without releasing the trigger. It was a bit awkward and could be dangerous. Wear safety glasses because this thing throws debris. Excellent for the price,, though, and I'm curious if it meets US safety standards. ... show more

    • Very fragile!
The guard broke off with the first use just trimming back our daisies! My husband was lucky the blade didn't get his shin when it broke. If it's too fragile to trim back daisies, it's too fragile to trim anything else we have in our yard. And very dangerous!

This is a great little machine. While it broke during the first full battery, it was easy to fix with just a couple of washers. The battery lasts a long time. The blades are good for every thing from grass, to branches 3/4" thick. It's light weight makes it easy to operate for long periods of time. I only gave it 4 stars because the rivets broke that hold the mounting plate to the power shaft. This was an easy fix with just a couple of washers. Knowing that, I would still by it. ... show more

This thing works like a charm, I couldn't believe how easily it cut down a 2 inch tree. The battery life is great, I recommend this 100%.

Light weight. Easy to use. But with use (and perhaps I was too hard on it) the nut that holds the blade seemed to fuse. As such cannot untwist and change blade. So not useable anymore. This happened with the first and only use. Will not spend more time trying to fix. Will try another brand. Needed such a device to cut down overgrown brush that neighbors allow to get out of control. Will also consider getting Ryobi Expand It trimmer and the brush cutter attachment. Just as well spend the money to get something that will last. ... show more

    • It worked til it didnt
Definitely lightweight in weight and productivity. Used once. Just once. I got a good amount cut nothing thicker than tall grass with the battery life but then it made a weird noise and the blade went dull. Just. Stopped. Cutting. Tried to replace the blade (I was excited to try the wheel blade next) but the bolt would not budge. Worked on that for about 30 minutes and said forget it. Not sure what happened but it’s going back. It did work and worked well….. until it didn’t. 3 stars but would not recommend. ... show more

I was a little skeptical to order after reading some of the reviews. I agree with other reviews, figuring out how to install the blade was a little difficult but after messing around with it, I got it. When I started using it, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality/performance. I bought it mainly for edging purposes and it actually does a great job cutting through stuff giving you a nice, clean edge. Pretty powerful, too.
