I depended on the opinion of others and am quite satisfied with this product. It is lightweight and well balanced. We used it for clearing vines from the berry patch and it breezed right through them. It was a bit weak cutting through the half inch ones, but did the job. It's quiet and the battery life was outstanding. The downsides were that the shaft isn't that long and at 5'5", I had to hunch over a bit and it was tiring. The blade does not stop immediately upon releasing the trigger and could be dangerous. It is not a unit for lefties, either-the safety button is operated with the right thumb and I had to start the blade with my right hand, then switch the unit to my left hand without releasing the trigger. It was a bit awkward and could be dangerous. Wear safety glasses because this thing throws debris. Excellent for the price,, though, and I'm curious if it meets US safety standards.

This thing is great! Unlike the usual string trimmers this doesn't leave bits of plastic around your yard. It's powerful enough to go through tree saplings too (not too large). There's an interesting circular-saw type blade attachment that I haven't used yet though that would be good for larger saplings too. Also, the seller is very helpful; I lost a part and they promptly sent me a replacement, even though my losing a part is obviously not their fault. Very cool!

Product does not last after two hours of use in the hot sun. Product heats up with smoke coming from the shaft behind the blade used for cutting grass and weeds. I purchased the product on 18 April 2024 from Amazon and used it only two times. Would not recommend this product to anyone to buy.

I've seen reviews that were negative regarding this product. For yard trimming of brush and weeds it's plenty powerful. Not commercial duty bit for the homeowner adequate. My only complaint is the box might have been a return. Parts and hardware were just stuffed in the box with loose bolts etc. I found everything and all seems to work well.

This thing is great. 2nd season I've used it for weed eating. This year I had to cut down a good 3ft high tall grass section about 3' wide by 10' long and one battery life lasted for about 75% of the job, which I was surprised by. Love that it comes with 2 batteries, makes getting through a big job like that in one go very doable. The blades are good quality. I'm still on the same first blade I started with and only have a few slight bends in the teeth of the blade.

Definitely lightweight in weight and productivity. Used once. Just once. I got a good amount cut nothing thicker than tall grass with the battery life but then it made a weird noise and the blade went dull. Just. Stopped. Cutting. Tried to replace the blade (I was excited to try the wheel blade next) but the bolt would not budge. Worked on that for about 30 minutes and said forget it. Not sure what happened but it’s going back. It did work and worked well….. until it didn’t. 3 stars but would not recommend.

Update: I figured out that my hammer drill can be used to jolt the nut loose. Please help! Advice? I have bought two of these brush cutters and they work great, that is until you need to replace a blade and realize the nut that holds the blade in place is absolutely STUCK and cannot be removed. It seems the turning of the blade during use causes the nut to over-tighten to the point that it is stuck. I bought the second one thinking I had done something wrong, but after lightly using it, the nut was stuck. The first one was so tight that I ended up stripping the nut from its hexagon shape to a round piece of steel! The 2nd one is still okay. I am trying to save it. At $100 a pop, I don't want to have to keep throwing these trimmers away because of this simple problem. Does anyone know of a way to get that nut loose? As far as a review...The things work great, but only for one blade, then they must go in the trash.
