I was very skeptical when I received the box because it was so light. However, I was quickly liking this little light beast. This weed wacker is way better than I had expected. It's very sturdy and I'm able to cut down some seriously tough weeds with these blades. And one battery lasts longer than I can in this AZ heat. I'm still on my first straight blade and I've done some serious damage to the weeds already, but the blade is holding up very well. I haven't even used one of the circular saw blades yet. Having 7 more of these blades, I'm sure this little machine will last pretty long and I'll definitely get my moneys worth. I'm 6'1" and it extends to a comfortable length for me. The tilting head is awesome!

This thing is great! Unlike the usual string trimmers this doesn't leave bits of plastic around your yard. It's powerful enough to go through tree saplings too (not too large). There's an interesting circular-saw type blade attachment that I haven't used yet though that would be good for larger saplings too. Also, the seller is very helpful; I lost a part and they promptly sent me a replacement, even though my losing a part is obviously not their fault. Very cool!

i have had this only a few months. i have used it only a handful of times. it s already broken. the inner workings are stripped out and i hear it rattling inside and the blade will no longer spin. of course it is out of the return range, so now i am stuck with a useless piece of equipment.

I was worried after reading negative reviews. My goal was to cut through a large area around a mesquite tree. I let the area get very overgrown so I was cutting sprouts from the mesquite tree up to 1/2" diameter. It slows slightly when trimming the 1/2", but everything else it just whizzed right through. Mesquite can be very difficult to cut. The circular saw blade made easy work of it. There is nothing to slow the blade after releasing the trigger. The blade spins free for a good 30 seconds or more. It will make mince meat of any flesh that gets in it's way, so be careful!

This is a great little machine. While it broke during the first full battery, it was easy to fix with just a couple of washers. The battery lasts a long time. The blades are good for every thing from grass, to branches 3/4" thick. It's light weight makes it easy to operate for long periods of time. I only gave it 4 stars because the rivets broke that hold the mounting plate to the power shaft. This was an easy fix with just a couple of washers. Knowing that, I would still by it.

It was too short for a regular size man and with blades instead of twine u could not u the weed wackier edging side walks or any thing wood or metal or concrete. Good for small brush but not so good for grass

I depended on the opinion of others and am quite satisfied with this product. It is lightweight and well balanced. We used it for clearing vines from the berry patch and it breezed right through them. It was a bit weak cutting through the half inch ones, but did the job. It's quiet and the battery life was outstanding. The downsides were that the shaft isn't that long and at 5'5", I had to hunch over a bit and it was tiring. The blade does not stop immediately upon releasing the trigger and could be dangerous. It is not a unit for lefties, either-the safety button is operated with the right thumb and I had to start the blade with my right hand, then switch the unit to my left hand without releasing the trigger. It was a bit awkward and could be dangerous. Wear safety glasses because this thing throws debris. Excellent for the price,, though, and I'm curious if it meets US safety standards.
