Surprised husband with this snowblower last year. Although he is fit, and thought I can still shovel the snow, he used it and has not gone back to shoveling again. Definitely makes the job quicker. Right size for our property. I did buy an extra set of batteries so we have a set ready. He found it easy to set up and use.

This is my first cordless machine so I cant compare to other models. I had a chance to use it twice in two days under different conditions. Day one was about 8 to 10 inches of light snow and it was a strugle. The machine kept shutting off all the time. It would just shut although I am holding the handle. Most of the time it woul start back up after the pressing the button. However a few times it refused to start. After trying different things I discovered that taking out the batteries and puting them back fixes the problem. At the end the batteries ran out before I could finish the driveway (about 4 car size driveway + skirt). Day two was a much more better experience with abour 3-4 inches of light snow. Was able to clear the whole driveway and the sidewalks with only a couple of shut offs and used only about 1/3 of the batteries. Overal - very light and easy to use but the limit of the machine is about 5 inches of light snow. Anything above that becomes a strugle. I also ordered an extra battery pack. Much better than using a shuvel but nothing like a gas powered snowblower.

I had high hopes for this based on the positive reviews and claims made by the manufacturer. Took it outside yesterday to try to remove 5 inches of freshly fallen, soft powdery snow from my path. It immediately started stalling and shutting off. I didn’t manage to do even 3 feet of the path because, despite claims—it couldn’t handle that much snow. This thing is a good size too—not as big as a gas snow blower, of course, but it’s big enough that you would think it could plow through less than half a foot of powdery snow. But with its headlights it’s more like an oversized flashlight that makes noise and then konks out when it hits snow. By the way, what little snow it did manage to pick up before konking out blew right back into my face. I finally gave up and resorted to hand shoveling. I sure hope my nosy neighbors weren’t spying out their windows because the whole fiasco was embarrassing. I’m hurt that I’m out the money but I’m even more disappointed because I’d hoped it would make dealing with snow removal easier. I can’t understand the reviews that claim it’s a “ powerhouse” and can cut through 6 inches of snow like “butter” because mine is a piece of junk.
