Nice bed—zero complaints!
Color: White Wash
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
Very, very pleased with this bed. We were looking for something that would offer our 12 year old daughter a place to maintain a permanent fort and this fit the bill. The forts in the living room were getting a little old as I didn’t have the heart to make her take a fort down until I saw that she had stopped using it with any real consistency. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 85 pounds. She is able to crawl in and out with ease, and while it is too low of a ceiling for her to fully sit up underneath, there is plenty of room to crawl around and lean against her pillows to enjoy a book, electronics, or a snooze. The bed itself is able to accommodate plenty of weight. I don’t recall the exact number from the advertisement, but it is definitely sturdy and well manufactured. My daughter and I (mom) put it together ourselves without any issues; took about 4 hours I’d say…we just worked a couple hours over two days. The instructions were clearer than most that I have encountered in my 45 years, with the parts nicely labeled to eliminate guessing. The only tools you’ll need, in addition to the Allen wrenches that are provided, is a drill with a Phillips head bit and a Phillips head screwdriver (to use to tighten the screws and make them flush—the drill at that stage can strip a head). The wood looks like it is painted with a dull, white primer (not glossy or shiny) and has a nice feel to it. Some spots have a little roughness to them, but I think it is the aesthetic look that the manufacturer was going for, rather than sloppy craftsmanship. I also like the option to have the book shelf and drawer on the left or the right…we chose the right due to the configuration of her room. We also chose not to install the drawer itself as it takes up a lot of space inside the fort. We simply glued the face of the drawer on with some wood glue; it just looks like it was meant to be a faux drawer. The bed itself is about halfway up the wall, which is nice as it is not so tall that it overcrowds or make the room look small. You will not need a boxspring with this. She had one with her old bed, but when we put on both the boxspring and the mattress, it made the top of the mattress flush with the top of the wooden sides. Not safe. Using just the mattress itself allows her to have the protection of the wooden sides in the event she rolls at night. I really cannot think of any cons. It is very sturdy once it is assembled and it checks all of our boxes. I hope this review is helpful. I rarely write them, but since I always read through them before I make a purchase, I took the time today. Good luck!

The BEST purchase ever!
Color: Driftwood
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
I am very impressed with this bed. It is heavy and once it is put together is very well made. All the pieces of the bed are made up of solid wood. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to assemble the entire bed. Make sure you take your time and do not lose any of your screws because there is no extra. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I like how each step was illustrated and in exact detail. Once built it is very stable and durable. My 4 year old son was thrilled with his big boy bed. The bed is so cute in person. It is comfortable for him. I like the safety bars across the sides that has a little tray that I will put his little tablet on.

Great bed! Worth it!!
Color: Barnwood Brown
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
This bed is a great buy! I searched for a LONG time for a bed for my 3 year old, and while this one was a little more expensive than others, I loved the look/idea. It did take some time to put together (my spouse and I did it in about 4 hours with power tools), but it is VERY sturdy, strong, quality material and looks amazing. It fits well even if not so huge bedrooms, has some great storage space and the little cubby underneath is so fun and even cuter with a set of lights ;-) If you are thinking about this bed, get it!!

Very sturdy, cute, time consuming to assemble
Color: White Wash
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
My hubby is very handy with construction and putting things together. He has constructed a bed from lumber for one of our other kids. Like many people, he just lacks the time. Enter this cute bed for our 5 year old. PROS: He said it was very well constructed and solid. Even some holes that needed to be predrilled or fit very precisely, were as they should be. We had no cracked boards as some others mentioned. Instructions were clear and it is solid. CONS: Two of the large boards on the sides are very rough and not sanded as others mentioned. Also there are lots of pieces to this bed!!! Including a 75 page picture manual. Even for a handy man like my husband, it took over 3 hours to put together without stopping! Its true that the paint job could be better but that doesn't bother me too greatly. The little shelf on the side is small and kind of useless. I will replace it with something else. The play area underneath is great for little kids but if I had to do over, I would not have gotten the drawer option. The drawer sticks out inside and takes up a lot of the play area. I included a photo of my 6 foot hubby telling our girl goodnight so you can see the size a little more accurately. Personally, I dont see a child using this much past the age of 9 or 10 as it is shorter/smaller than your average loft bed. My daughter is happy though, so ultimately we are satisfied.

Perfect low loft bed!
Color: Driftwood
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
Solid bed! Exactly as pictured. The kid loves it. Assembly took about 2.5 hrs by a professional. I love the bed, but it has a strong smell that lingers.

Very Sturdy & Looks Great!
Color: Driftwood
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
This is one heavy bed! I couldn’t lift it out of the driveway so I had to carry it in by pieces, which took awhile as there are a lot of pieces!!! The wood is a bit rough, but I guess that’s the farmhouse kind of rustic thing. I hired a pro to assemble it and boy, am I glad I did. Took him 4 hours! Most of the pieces were numbered with the exception of several boards. And there are so, so many screws (like someone else said, a million! LOL). The instructions are all pictures, no words. It looks great though and am very happy with it. My grandson loves to hide, so the cubby underneath is perfect. If you’re on the fence about it, just buy it, you’ll be happy with it!

Perfect for 7year old, 8 inch mattress!
Color: Driftwood
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
It is what we hoped for! Sturdy, fun and perfect for 7 year old + friends. It’s much bigger than the pictures make it look. Which was my holdup to begin with. I thought it would be too small, but it’s not. Perfect height. Love how as an adult I can stand at the edge of the bed and he is high up enough I can lean my elbows on the bed and smile at him back. MATTRESS I bought an 8inch Novila which was perfect height. Not too high, still has support and he feels protected and cozy inside the rails. Not afraid of falling over. I love the driftwood color!

Good quality wood and hardware, sturdy, ability to build two directions
Color: Barnwood Brown
Size: Twin w/ Storage Drawers
Firstly be sure to practice understanding the instructions a few times. It is compiled of two different configurations (right and left) and seems to favor the RIGHT configuration. Using the check off sheet to note that you completed a page is allows you to discard the pages and thin out the thick packet. The check off sheet also shows you which pages you need to follow, in what order. There is two check off sheets based on which configuration you choose. I chose LEFT for the orientation of this room. Other than the vague instructions I am very satisfied. Delivery was handled by a third party however it in fact arrived a week early than estimated. They gladly placed it into the doorway of my home instead of leaving it outside. Definitely one of the better Amazon purchases I I’ve made.
