I experienced the same thing as another 1-star reviewer described -- the label appears to be made of a different, cheaper paper than previous purchases at the drug store, cheaper and inauthentic-looking. It also seemed wet even though the seal seemed intact. Furthermore, there was no printed/stamped black number on the bottom, as exists on my authentic purchases. I'll upload some pictures though the one of the label doesn't do justice to the fact that even the texture of the label seems cheaper and fake. I suspect this is a counterfeit product and so, I'm hesitant to even try this. Not worth the risk here, I'm unhappily taking a loss and going to the drug store instead. I intend on calling the product information line to verify. UPDATE: I called THAYERS customer service today. They told me that products without a "lot number" printed on the bottom of the bottle is indeed not from them. Buy at your own risk. ... show more

I can say one thing I would not even hesitate if you are thinking about buying this product, do it! I have been struggling with acne for almost 2 years now and after cleaning up my diet by eliminating dairy and all animal products my skin did clear up a ton! However, I would still get really bad small flare ups here and there as well as I had some scaring and discoloration left on my skin after having such bad cystic breakouts and I decided I needed to find some products to help with skin care. So I bought the Lavender Thayers Witch Hazel Toner, Dr. Bronner's Organic Lavender Castile Liquid Soap, and The Vanity Planet Spin for Clear Skin which was a total of about 75$ with Amazon prime. I can not stress enough how much all of these products have changed my skin but especial this one. I used to absolutely love this product... however, they went and added Phenoxyethanol for pretty much no reason. They didn't have it in it before and didn't need to add it now. Phenoxyethanol is highly recommended to not be used for skin... kinda kills this product and I think I'll be exploring other options after this batch runs out. Look up phenoxyethanol yourself if you dont believe me and think I'm overreacting. How they took such a wonderful product and ruined it with something thats bad for your skin is beyond me. This is a lovely, skin soothing witch hazel toner with natural ingredients like aloe vera, glycerin, and grapefruit seed extract. I made a great toner blend in a spray bottle- Half rose water by Zia Botanicals, and half Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel. It's super refreshing to spritz on my face day or night, and it also cleanses, softens, moisturizes, and acts as an astringent for your skin. It really helps to tighten pores and it leaves your face feeling and looking fresh and clean. This witch hazel is not harsh like regular witch hazel with alcohol- I prefer this so much more. And the natural lavender scent is beautiful without being overpowering. When a rash broke out on my neck once, spraying this toner on it really helped to calm the itch, swelling, and redness. It's great for soothing inflamed, red skin. I've poured this witch hazel into a spray bottle and added a few drops of lavender essential oil. That ended up being really pleasant as well. You can choose to just squirt it onto a cotton pad or to spray it like I do. Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel is in a fairly large (12 oz) bottle, so the price is definitely reasonable... although I've seen prices all over the board by different sellers on Amazon for this same product. Treat your skin gently, rather than aggravate it with harsh and synthetic ingredients, and unnecessary dyes and perfumes. I highly recommend this product.♡ ... show more

This stuff is great! I have large pores (gross, I know) that get congested (even grosser, I know), which leaves me with unattractive texture on my face, regardless of how often/how little I exfoliate. I decided to try to a toner and randomly picked this one. This stuff is great! My face has changed significantly--I have much less texture and it seems that my pores are staying cleaner. I have absolutely loved this product! I was struggling with white heads, problematic acne and clogged pores. I've always taken care of my face by washing regularly and rarely wearing makeup (maybe every 3-4 days), but I hadn't incorporated a toner into my routine. Since doing so, I've noticed a significant difference. My skin feels tighter and I've been less prone to breakouts. I use this product generously 2-3 times a day and it has lasted for 10 weeks.
