I introduced my mom to the electric pressure cooker and I created a monster. Of course she wants to make everything in it, first test was crucial; beans. The machine said 40 minutes on High temp. She flipped because her old used to cook them in 14. So we put them in Soup mode because of the water amount and added 15 minutes. The water was consumed and the beans were half cooked. She wasn’t happy. So I added more water and added 15 minutes on Porridge mode and problem solved. It has enough options to cook, super convenient. Next test is beef soup. We need to test the beans as recommended. The machine looks nice, study not noisy when cooking. I bought it during prime so the cost was nice too! Fist time buying Master Chef brand. I will update later, my mom for sure will tell what’s wrong with it. ... show more

I just like the way the inside of the lids is hard to clean . However, as far as cooking food and knowing that it’s done, and it’s gonna taste amazing hands-down great .

I would give 5 stars across the board but there was really not enough info booklets to come with the cooker. I look up recipes for the instant pot 6qt and play from there. Aside from that I can't think of anything negative really. So far I have made beans, gumbo & chicken tinga tacos. It makes perfect rice everytime. Don't even get me started on the stock and bone broths!Happy cooking, y'all! ... show more

I'm a new user for an instapot. I bought this one on prime day, and it seems to work fine. But I've only used it twice, and it was an ordeal each time due to the minimal instructions which seem to be written for another model. Granted, it intifmidates me! The meals I've prepared were decent and shaved some time, but overall this impulse buy was not a smart one for me. I've purchased a cookbook and downloaded some recipes. Guess I need an instapot book for dummies! I'm going to keep trying, but right now I have buyer's remorse. ... show more

I have never owned an instapot before. I ordered it on a black friday deal to use when my husband and I go to our remote cabin. We'll I finally took it out of the box and it had a huge dent on the side. I packed it very carefully so I know it arrived this way. Due to our remote location, I'm unable to return. The instruction booklet that is included is pretty much worthless for new users! I had to google everything to figure out how to use this. My advice is try a different brand!
