I’m a tattoo artist and I use rotary pens. My daily driver is a Xion, but I wanted a backup and financial constraints and a ton of research led me to the Mast Tour. It’s a solid little machine - it isn’t the best machine, it’s noticeably smaller and less powerful than the Xion, but it’s exactly what I expected and it’s perfect for smaller walk-ins. I feel safer having a backup machine and this one is perfectly serviceable. i purchased this machine 3 years ago and i’m very happy with it the only problem that i have is the battery!! i run my machine at 10 volts and the two batteries that i got go from 6 to 9 then jump directly to 11V.. why?! it doesn’t make any sense! i now use directly the cord with the pedal but i could’ve just buy the machine alone at this point! waisted money on those ... show more

Runs very smooth. Almost cant feel it running. Only part I really dislike is the stroke is too short. If I adjust my liner out to where it should be running then it doesnt go back into the tip all the way and drags/ catches. If I take it in to where it goes in all the way then I would have to ride the tip on the skin to get the depth where i needed. Worked great for my shader used both a 1207rs and a 1009rm. Those two worked great. The liner I used was a 1209rl and 1207rl and both ran the same. If I had it to where it needed to be to work it didnt go back into the tip all the way. All cartridges were Eztat2 revolution series. ... show more

I have used rotary machines the last 7 years, and this pen has delivered like the "big boys". 1.) The price is fantastic. I learned awhile ago that price is not always indicative of quality. My daily runners were a Bishop and Cheyenne, until I found this little gem. This gets the job done just as well as the pricier bigger names. 2.) This machine is super comfortable to use. It works with most cartridge brands that I have. With the battery attached I have noticed how well balanced it is. Oh and no more cords, which is a huge bonus for me.
