Definitely one of the few pen machines I've used that can competently line. I thought I wouldn't like the adjustable hit function, but it came in handy to fine tune the hit for line work. With some good quality cartridges, this is a perfectly capable machine that can handle all your needs. I'd compare it with my stigma spear, and vlad blad Ultron pen with how much punch it packs. You might not like it that it requires a jump start power supply to work, but I don't mind that at all. The grip is nicely machined and has accepted all carts I've tried ranging from kwadron, ez, kingpin, cheyenne, and of course wjx. So nice I'm buying this one twice! EDIT: for future reference the size hex key you'll need to service this for its maintenance schedule is H1.3. Be careful loosening the screws. They're a little on the soft side and at that size they can round out really easy. Really wish the screws were of a better quality, a set of extra screws for the main pushrod assmebly, and a hex key for the right size came with the machine. Not a deal breaker, and doesn't take away from the quality of the machine though. ... show more

We’re do I start. This pen is amazing. The weight is perfect for my hand. Not tol heavy at all. Has a grate finish to it. Easy to bag. The hard and soft setting work better than Imagined. I finally found a machine that works grate for my hand speed. At 7.1 volts it’s putting down dark soled lines at a fairly fast hand speed. It’s grate for shading and color packing but I mainly use it for line work. With the soft and hard setting option you can really fine tune this machine to you style and hand speed. The only down fall was this is a hard starting machine so you’ll need to have a power supply with a jump start feature. I’ve test it out at different volts and it will start at 6 volts but stalls at start up some times. If you run your machine at 6.5-7 volts it will start just fine I run it as a liner starting at 7 volts so it wasn’t to big of a deal for me. But if your running at lower volts it could be a pain. ... show more

    • The machine works,hit adjuster does nothing but make it louder however.
The actual machine functions however the adjustable soft or hard hit feature does nothing noticeable except for making the machine annoyingly loud when set all the way to soft. Machine vibrates a lot, and feels uncomfortable to grip partially due to it being top heavy so the weight balance feels off. I couldn’t get used to the balance and hate the racket it makes but it seemed to line reasonably well. For the price I expected better, Sending it back because it is not for me. ... show more

The grip is loose from the body. Theres a tiny wobble on mine. Maybe just mine. Havent tried the machine yet. Might be ok to tat. Update after use: lines great. Single pass lines. I run it at 9v. Hits hard, if your just starting be cautious not to blow out. Maybe ride the tube if your unsure. Good luck! ... show more

Works as advertised...strong hit...turn down stroke while machine is off...works great at soft and hard hitting settings..all power supplies will not work though

The media could not be loaded. Mast won't honor their warranty, customer service is a joke. This thing crapped out after a month and 5 tattoos. Stick with Axys or Bishop, they take care of their customers and stand behind their product.
