    • "Not a one size fits all, but it has some pros for those it fits"...
I have used golf training aids like this before because not only do I enjoy viewing birds (penguins and ducks especially) in their natural habit, but I have also learned that I have 'bird tendencies' on the links via "chicken winging" more often than I would like. For the record, my body type is about a 60/40 blend with 60% being MESOMORPH and 40% being ECTOMORPH, thus I was into weight training and sports like baseball and cross country where my muscularity, speed (fast, not quick) and leaner build could be utilized best. I am 6' 1/2" tall and weigh 175 pounds. THE REVIEW: After taking lessons from a PGA pro (I highly recommend), watching Golf channel education classes, trying things at the range and on the course, and reading Golf digest, I developed a drill at home where I utilize a faux golf club for my hands and incorporate the edge of my bed, a wall and training aids like this one. The drill helps me keep my hips quiet, hinge my wrists, avoid going too far back with the club (creating a stopping point) and keeping my RIGHT arm (I am a "rightie") tight to my body as I take the club back. FIT: -- Okay, but not ideal as it is too big for my leaner forearms and does shift some during even slow controlled movements -- IMHO, if this is a "one size fits all", it should err on the side of being a little too tight on the end user versus too loose. Since I am not petite or small and wear a LARGE size t-shirt I would think there should be less "daylight" when it is in use, but I see too much "daylight" and thus it is prone to shifting during use. As a result, I do not believe this will cater to the majority of end users in its current design state. QUALITY: -- Nice quality materials and should hold up over time EFFECTIVENESS: -- For my body type and fit I give it a grade "B" -- If it is snug on your upper forearms, you should be "winning the game" with this training aid PORTABILITY: -- One of the best things about this is it could be transported anywhere. You could even tuck it in your back pocket and practice anywhere you feel comfortable doing so. IMPORTANCE: -- I have been golfing for approximately 9-10 years steadily and saw significant improvements in spite of not practicing at the range very often, but playing 2-4 times per month most of those years. -- I agree with the site page documentation and feel this type of tool is one of the best at fixing key problems often exhibited by amateur golfers (i.e. "chicken winging") and can even by pivotal in helping you develop a repeatable sound golf swing. Of course you will need to study more as I did or see a PGA professional to help with all the elements that go into developing a reliable, consistent golf swing. ... show more

I did find this simple band to do a good job of keeping my arms together and straight, but I can see if your arms are thicker, it might feel a bit tight. There isn't too much about this other than it keeps your arms from flailing away and to be honest, I need all the help I can get. I actually can use this using my VR golf "club" to practice indoors without breaking anything. Simple and effective! ... show more

    • Easy to use, hard to master
There really isn't much to this item. It has two elastic bands that go around your bicep and triceps, just above your elbow, with a non-elastic piece in the middle. It's intended to help you keep your arms together through the range of motion for your swing. Now I knew that, and I was able to figure out how to use this very easily. But I did take off one star because someone who just bought this as a training aid and didn't know that would be a little lost on how to put it on and how to use it. So it may have a counterproductive effect and make them develop bad habits. But the quality of the materials feels durable. The elastic is tight but still has enough stretch that it is not cutting off circulation and moves naturally with your arms through the swing motion. ... show more

Not sure that this did anything for me. Tried it at home and at the range and it didn't fix my bad swing. Seems to be more for beginners who have more major flows. It is a simple aid and easy to take with you...
