I'm so accustomed to fat tattoo pens, with parallel sides, that I was a bit shocked to hold this beauty from Mast. Thickly designed tattoo pens have long been my personal preference, but I never stopped to think that they're not perfect for everyone. This lovely jewel addresses that issue. It's ideally suited for women who prefer a thinner (23mm!) grip pen, that is lighter, and easier to control. You really have to love this pen. The pen has an ingenious built in (integral) battery, but it's removable, and it reveals an RCA jack when you take it off. This is great because it's functionally no different than those machines that run with external battery packs, without sacrificing the length, or balance of the pen. The pen runs incredibly well throughout it's entire range. The working range is between 5.0v and 12,0v, and it's smooth as silk, throughout. It's even super quiet, the whole time. With the supplied battery this will run up to 5 hours, depending upon speed, of course. The pen has a USB-C charge port at the top, and an excellent digital LED readout. The three-button operation makes it simple to operate, and highly intuitive, The only caveat I have with the pen is that the stroke length is limited, at 3,0mm. The kit also contains a clip cord, charging cabled for BOTH batteries, a single pair of black latex exam gloves, 10 tattoo needle cartridge, a good sized bottle of black ink, a clip cord with RCA plug, a sheet of tattoo desgin transfer paper, a single thick (3mm) sheet of synthetic practice skin (small square), and a small set of ink caps. This is an outstanding pen that really fills a niche in the tattoo/Permanent Makeup/Microblade world. It's so well made, and of quality design that it cannot fail to impress. I am really impressed with the performance of this Mast tattoo pen. It is much thinner than what I am used to using, but I love the feel of this in my hand. It is easier to hold without as much bulk. I can wrap this in grip tape, and it is still pretty thin and easy to maneuver compared to fatter pens This one also runs exceptionally well. It comes with two removable battery packs that connect with a standard RCA connector, so it is compatible with other batteries and also comes with a cord to connect an external power source. Each battery is 1200 mAh which isn't a lot, but that's expected with the smaller design and with the back up battery it gets good total output The batteries have a 3 button operation with a button for power, and buttons for increasing or decreasing the voltage from 5-12 volts. This one shines at the higher voltages. It runs really smooth with very little vibration or noise even at the higher voltage. I think this might be the smoothest running pen I have and it really helps to get consistent lines and designs The kit also comes with several standard starter supplies including a 10 pack of needles, fake skin, gloves, black bandage tape, and a bottle of black ink which makes this an excellent starter kit for beginners as well. I have another Mast pen that works great as well, so it seems to be a consistent brand and all the supplies are well made and good quality ... show more

Quiet, powerful, and reliable This tattoo kit comes with everything you need to start tattooing, including ink, needles, ink cups, fake skin and even a pair of black gloves and black grip tape. The Mast Tour Fly pen is one of the thinnest and lightest pens I’ve ever used. The pen weighs an impressive 0.30lbs. with the battery and only 0.188lbs without it. You’ll need an RCA clip cord to power the pen without the battery. The battery charges using a fast charge USB-C type interface and has a clear digital display that shows you the remaining battery power. The device also allows for 0.1V adjustments from 5V to 12V. Additionally, the battery remembers your last voltage setting if you turn it off which is convenient because you can pick up where you last left off when you turn it back on. This pen has a medium stroke length of 3.0mm which makes it a tattoo beginner’s best friend because medium stroke lengths can perform a little bit of everything. It’s most commonly used for color packing and shading. However, you’re not going to pull your boldest, crispiest lines with a medium stroke. A single-pass line with a medium stroke usually won’t cut it if you’re trying to tattoo at your boldest. That’s largely because a medium stroke length can handle working with smaller needle groupings but will struggle with heavy liners and magnums. The pen is also pretty quiet, even at higher voltages (10+). The vibration is also very smooth at 10+ voltages as well. I would recommend this set for anyone looking to upgrade their wireless pen. First off, the kit comes with everything you need to get started, including needle cartridges, an ink bottle, ink cups, skin tape, fake skin, and tattoo gloves. This makes it incredibly convenient and hassle-free to begin tattooing right away. The machine itself has a 3mm stroke length and uses an RCA connection with the included battery. One thing I really appreciate is the option to use an external power adaptor with RCA if I want, providing me with even more flexibility. The motor runs exceptionally well, with minimal noise and vibration. This makes for a much more comfortable tattooing experience, both for myself and for my clients. Another standout feature is the variable voltage control built into the machine, allowing me to adjust the voltage from 5V to 12V. This level of control ensures that I can achieve the perfect settings for each individual tattoo, resulting in clean and precise lines every time.
