You know that old saying, "it's always better to give than to receive", well that's not the case when it comes to massaging! I've always loved the massages I've gotten from my wife and for me it's been easier and nicer to receive them than give them. That is partly due to the fact we've only had a bed or couch to do our massaging on. Lately though, I decided it wasn't fair of me to be on the receiving end most of the time and wouldn't our massaging be easier if we had our own massage table? We have an extra guest room where we could set it up and have it ready and convenient when the need or mood strikes. So to make a long story shorter, I suggested it to my wife and she ageed, it was a great idea. Since we do most of our shopping on-line, we started our search on Amazon, of course, and immediately spotted the Best Massage table sold by Cavalier Wholesale. We didn't want to spend a great deal but didn't want the cheapest table either. As a Prime member, free shipping is a big deal when you consider these table all weigh in at about 40 Lbs. However this particular table wasn't offered as a Prime item but the seller offered free shipping, a big plus in our decision. We compared other table options but didn't find any other table that offered the value, cost wise, and had the features we wanted. Having placed our order it was only a short 2 or 3 day wait until it was delivered. I was impressed at the shipping speed as we were not expecting it for another 3 or 4 days. Upon opening the package it was obvious to us we had made a great decision. The carrying bag was the perfect size and appeared to be of strong sturdy material, sufficient to handle the contents. Our first impression of the table was the obvious quality and craftsmanship that went into the design and manufacture. We immediately carried it into our master bedroom and set it up for further inspection. It is quite simple to unfold and remove the accessories, along with the instructions included. We were pleased with the looks, the excellent finish on the wood parts, the design, construction and the attachements. Once the table was set properly in place, I snugged the leg tightening knobs and checked all the support features and cables for proper position and eased myself up onto the table bed to get a feel and a sense of sturdiness. Wow, this table is amazingly sturdy and sound! Not a creak or groan from under my 200 Lb loading. I moved around, rolled over and found the table gave little if any under my weight. Again, I was impressed, the legs are not huge, there aren't any center legs but there isn't any give in the middle of the table with all of my weight on it. Since the table is rated for a safe load of 450 Lbs, I believe, my wife joined me on the table and it supported our combined weight of 340 Lbs with ease. We felt totally safe being on the table together. We knew we had a winner and wished we had purchase a table like this years before. The legs are fully adjustable for heigth, a great feature, as I noticed upon giving my wife the first massage on our new table, that an inch or two higher would be more comfortable for me when giving a massage. We'll try adjusting it one inch higher to see if it suits us both. The fully adjustable head rest feature is really nice, if you've be use to having a massage on a bed, it can be very uncomfortable unless you hang your head over the edge a bit. I also like the cutout head rest feature built into this model. I can rest my head in the hole and this allows my feet to hang over the end of the bed, which is more relaxing for me during a massage. Another great attachment is the hanging arm rest included, When in place and when using the adjustable head rest on your stomach, the arm rest is a gem. The extended side arm rests are not useful for us as the table is sufficiently wide for our body size but I see where they would be very handy if you have a larger frame and need a bit more arm room. They are very easy to attach, just two 4 or 5 inch pegs each to slip into matching holes on each side of the bed. I don't think you'd want to apply much weight on them as they are only designed to carry the weight of an arm at rest and not used to support your weight when lifting yourself off the table. We highly recommed buying this table from Cavalier Wholesale, you can't go wrong on the value of this massage table, the quality of design, craftsmanship, the fast and free shipping (if still offered) and the great customer service Cavalier Wholesale provides. I gave them a 5 star seller rating as they deserved every star for all their help with the questions I had for them. Enjoy your massaging experience with this table and it may now, after all, be "better to give than to receive".

I'm a very thorough shopper, reading all the reviews before I buy just about anything. I start reading the bad reviews first, and after reading the bad reviews for this, and other tables from the same company,I was a little nervous. For the most part, however, it looked as if the company would replace the table if anything major was wrong and I was confident in that. I bought the table in September of 2012. Out of the box I was very pleased with it's look and lightness. I was a little worried by the thinness of the foam. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and once a year co-ordinate a 3 day massive demonstration/share. We have sometimes up to 12 people working, on 4 tables, outside for 3 days, giving people an experience of Reiki. We start at 9am and continue to about 5pm. The ground is uneven and the people who come range in size from the petite to the very large. I thought if anything would test a table this event would. Each table sees between 25 and 40 clients a day. This table was set up high as I stand when I work. People had to heave themselves up onto it throughout the day. I have to say that the table performed amazingly. Not a creak, nor crack was to be heard. Clients were comfortable and secure. In my line of work the major stresses on a table are from people getting on and off it, with a little less stress when they flip over. For that table has been great. It has been 4 months now and I have retired my very heavy portable for this much lighter one and am still very pleased with it. I will probably have to patch the bottom of the bag soon as it's showing some ware, but for the price you can't go wrong. I suggest this product to all my students and would happily buy it again. Disclaimer: What I think happens is that this table is made in great bulk and the people who give bad reviews get lemons. Saying this means there is a bit of a gamble in buying. Also I am not a massage therapist which means that I do not add stress to the table by physically manipulating them. I don't add any pressure at all really. This is a beginner's or a throw away table. By that I mean if you are just starting out and don't have the money, or if you just want something that you can throw in the car to make house calls or do demonstrations on, this is your table. I suspect I'll probably get 3 or 4 years from it at least. anything beyond that will be a bonus, but it is light and sturdy and I am very happy with it.

After reading the various reviews, I decided to take a chance here and am very glad that I did. The table is very stable and convenient to setup and store. The issues with the arm rests have either been fixed or I got lucky. In any case, I bought a set of twin bed flannel sheets and the fitted, bottom sheet covers the table like a glove (well, close enough) and at the same time, hold the arm rests in place. The pillow slip covers the head rest nearly perfectly, and the top sheet covers the one getting the massage. Initially, the head rest would not stay in position well; but tighening the allen screw at one end of the hinged solved that problem. The plastic buckle on the hanging arm rest did break after two uses, but it is easy to just tie the strap in a loose knot (hey, for $99 I can forgive such a small item) - otherwise the craftmanship is from quite acceptable to really great! Also, not only can you store the armrests and headrest inside when you fold the table up; but also the flannel sheets. It is a very well designed product. One Year Later. We use it once a week. Still 5 star for the price. The carrying bag tore at the straps - not a huge deal. For the rest, it is still sturdy and oh so convenient to store, get out, and set up. I would not get this for professional use, but for us, it is perfect.
