The media could not be loaded. Really impressed with my Martha Stewart Stand Mixer. I've used it several times already making brownies and a few different types of cookies. It handled everything from light batters to thick dough with ease. The 12-speed settings give great control, and the mixing is smooth and consistent. The standout for me is the mixing attachment with the built-in silicone scraper - it actually reaches the edges of the bowl, so there’s no need to constantly stop and scrape. I also really love the added splash guard. The 5.3 QT stainless steel bowl is a great size, and the tilt-head design makes it easy to use and switch attachments. I’ve held out to buy a stand mixer because they’re so expensive, this looked almost too good to be true. I took the plunge, as the price was right, and I am super impressed. It’s powerful, sleek, and good looking. It has multiple attachments, and super simple to use. I can’t get over how powerful it is and that the top tilts open for ingredients and easy access to the bowl. Mixers like this are always so expensive, what a great price and quality. I’m really happy. Some of the stand out features for me are the easy dial that goes from slow to a rapid spin. It has a really cool attachment with a silicone edge that scrapes the side of the bowl as it works. It inspired me to make cookies today and I can’t get over how well this beater with the soft edge works. It has a generous bowl, with a nice big handle. The tilt mechanism that lifts the beaters out of the bowl is genius! I love that it gets the beaters out of the way for adding ingredients and picking out your final batter. I also made super fluffy, whipped cream with the whisk attachment and it works so well. I also love that it’s not noisy, so you can be in the room with it while it’s doing the work for you. Defective on arrival. First time using, while mixing pizza dough on speed 1, the mixer would intermittently speed way up, then slow some, speed up to near top speed.... At this point I turned it off, cleaned and repacked it for return.

I'm comparing this Martha Stewart mixer to my KitchenAid. At $150, it's about half the price of a KitchenAid and roughly the same size. The biggest difference is the materials. The Martha Stewart mixer has a lot more plastic, on the outside, the knob, and even where the whisks connect. Because of that, it's about half the weight of a KitchenAid. If you want something lighter, this could be a good choice. It has suction cup feet to help keep it steady during use, which helps make up for the lighter weight. The switch has solid detents for each setting. I also like that the whisk sits close to the bottom of the bowl. On my KitchenAid, it's farther away, which I don't prefer. The mixer uses 500 watts of power. Overall, I think this is a good option if you only need a mixer occasionally. It's a nice balance of price and reliability for light to moderate use. ... show more

The “Martha Stewart  Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, 12 Speed, 5.3QT Stainless Steel Bowl, Splash Guard with Pour Chute, Whisk, Dough Hook, Flat Beater, Electric Kitchen Baking Mixer, Bread, Cake, Whip, Linen White” is great for me as I only use it on occasions. I previously had a Kitchen Aide mixer and it was much heavier and harder to move and store. The Martha Stewart does seem to be made with more plastic than the leading brand but still seems fairly durable. I love the Linen White color. It is nice and neutral and goes well with my other appliances. The bowl is nice and large and accolades big batches. I am very happy it comes with the splash guard and doesn’t have to be purchased separately. It’s very handy to have. The tilt head design functions smoothly. The beater does a great job of scraping the bowl and mixing every thing thoroughly. The attachments and bowl are dishwasher safe which is a big plus. The price of this is very reasonable. I am very pleased with it and would recommend to others. It comes boxed nicely and securely, suitable for gifting. It arrived quickly and was free from any damage. ... show more
