I’ve whipped up everything from bread dough to cakes, and it handles everything like a champ. And the 5-quart bowl is the perfect size for batch baking. I can make enough cookies to share but still have room for mixing larger recipes! Cleaning up is also a lot easier than I expected. Last year for mother’s day my husband purchased me a kitchen aide. I was actually really disappointed because I didn’t bake much and I felt the purchase was more for himself. He could see the disappointment when I opened it. I felt horrible, but he insisted we return it. So we did. Anyways, about three months later I hopped on the baking bread from scratch trend. I quickly realized..wow, I need a kitchen aide. Basically I thought he was going to have a stroke when it was time to have this conversation LOL. Being the great husband he is..he hopped on Amazon and quickly had this one delivered to our doorstep. It has been a breeze to use. Years ago, we had one of these. My wife gave it away and bought one of those Kitchen Aid mixers that you have to crank up the mixing bowl. It had a larger capacity, but the way the mixing bowl snapped into place and the low clearance after you lowered the bowl was a problem for me. So, I convinced the little lady to donate the old one and go back to the one I liked. After all, I do a lot of the cooking. So, I am happy again. I can mix stuff up and tilt the mixer up to get access to the mixing bowl. All of the Kitchen Aid mixers are a good choice. You just have to figure out which one is best for you. ... show more

How excited was I when this beautiful mixer was waiting by my front door??? Unfortunately, I knew it must have been ordered by my son for his girlfriend. My Kitchenaid mixer was purchased for me 42 years ago and still looks brand new, and behaves beautifully! This is a workhorse and timeless!
