It's pretty well made, definitely sturdy enough to take on winter. The ergonomics are well designed for push angle and and even chopping motion. It's all pretty light weight so you won't have to worry about lugging it around most places; I suggest you hold it closer to the shovel head when transporting since most of the weight is from there.

This shovel isn't suitable for New England weather. Only best used if there's a inch of light fluffy snow anything else it can handle becomes to hard to keep pushing. If it's heavy wet snow even if it's just a couple inches,keep thus in the shed,can't hack Northeast weather.

Just tried out for the first time, 2-3 inches of dry snow. shoves very well and flips the snow forward. The handle is comfortable, and the shovel is light weight. I like that it has no metal parts so it won't rust.

Review of: **Marshalltown 48" Polar Pusher** Full disclaimer: It is mid April here in CO and we've had temps in the 70's and even 80's lately, so there hasn't been much snow on the driveway. But after living in this climate for many decades, I know a little bit about shoveling snow and keeping driveways and sidewalks clear. From that experience, there have been many times where we just get an inch or three of snow on the ground, and the biggest challenge is how quickly you can run a shovel across the full surface to push the snow off into the yard or street. And that is precisely where this snow PUSHER from Marshalltown comes into play. With this 48" wide blade, and nearly vertical surface, this appears to be an ideal way to very quickly clear a light snow or come back after an initial shoveling to clear the additional snow that has come down. Note that you are NOT going to actually shovel snow with this, you are going to PUSH it off the surface. The angle of the blade does not allow you to actually lift snow up to throw it somewhere. Construction of this pusher is very solid. It arrives in three pieces and takes about 5 minutes to put together (all necessary hardware is included, you just need a screwdriver). It is very lightweight for its size with a fiber glass shaft and plastic handle and blade. I think my only real criticism of this snow pusher is the price - $90 is a bit steep, even if it performs as I expect it to. And this is really just a device that can be used for one purpose, to push snow off of surfaces. You are still going to need a regular shovel for the deeper and heavier snow removal, making the price even a harder pill to swallow. Going with four stars here, with that last star dedication due to the price. At $50 or less, this would be five stars.
