When buying anything on Amazon, I thoroughly research the purchase I'm looking to make for ungodly amounts of time. To the point where it becomes obsessive and I inevitably lock myself into an indecisive state of mind, ending up not purchasing anything because I can't make up my mind. Long story short, I'm a 6'4", 245 lb lean male with a lot of leg. Purchasing a chair online is very difficult because you obviously can't test it out and only have the word of other reviewers on what's ultimately a subjective topic. What feels good to them might not feel good to you, and vice versa. Yeah, you can send a chair back if it doesn't fit you well, but let's be honest, it's a royal pain to get everything back into the box the way it was. After researching chairs for what seemed like months, I took a chance on this one. It was a blind buy out of desperation, but it paid off in the end. This chair is comfortable, accommodates my long legs and height well, and feels well-made. At its maximum height, it's actually too far from the floor for me, so I'd imagine even someone who is 6'6" would fare well with this chair. For reference, I have a 37-38" inseam. The chair took me about 15 minutes to assemble, and the bolts are labeled in a way that makes the directions almost unnecessary. I did not use the wheels it came with, as you can buy a cheap set of aftermarket wheels that are much better than the standard wheels that come with most chairs. My only complaint is the seat depth. Ideally, you want the edge of the seat touching, or almost touching, the crease behind your knees. Going into this, I knew it would be short, but from all the other chairs I've researched, none were going to be deep enough to meet that metric. Luckily, the seat padding is comfortable enough that it hasn't been an issue. The headrest only adjusts upward, so unless you're reclining with the chair tilted back, it doesn't provide much support. This is probably the only complaint. Whether you're in an office setting or gaming, I don't think headrests in general serve much purpose other than using them to take a nap. All in all its a great chair. I use a $500 chair at work, and this chair is just as, if not more comfortable. If you're a taller person, you cant go wrong. And if you're on the shorter side, you won't be going wrong either. I'd say if your 5'3"-6'6" and 100-300 lbs, this is more than a good deal as far as office/gaming chairs go. I will try to make a video showcasing myself in the chair for all the tall people as that's what the biggest factor was in making my purchase. ... show more

Comfortable and supportive chair for long work hours

I’ve been extremely happy with my Marsail Ergonomic Office Chair. The chair was easy to assemble, with clear instructions and all the necessary hardware included. Once put together, it felt sturdy and well-built, especially considering the price point. The adjustable lumbar support, headrest, and armrests make it easy to customize the chair for all-day comfort. I spend several hours at my desk each day, and this chair has provided excellent back support while helping reduce fatigue. The mesh back keeps airflow moving, which is a nice bonus during long work sessions. You can't even find that many 6D armrest chairs with all the features this chair has for the price. I didn't even realize how much I would enjoy the 6D. It can be a little annoying getting up they swivel easily etc But ultimately you can adjust the perfect comfort for however you're sitting. I'm coupling this with a electronic desk that raises and lowers and also a keyboard that extends underneath the desk. The seat being able to slide forward and backward is great. The reclining forward and backward is great There's a seems to be a little bit of rocking angle allowed with the recline which appears to be controlled more from the knob underneath the chair. The neck support is pretty good I haven't found it uncomfortable at all. There is a couple times where I wished it extended further out towards my head, but it's fine. My only gripe is after a few days I had butt bone pains so I had to use a chair pad. The chair pad is too thin. My personal favorite is individual coil wrapped bottom with memory foam. My other serta chair had this and my butt bone never had pain issues. If they made that change this would be the perfect chair for me. I would have preferred a more modern base for the wheels instead of Chrome. All black accents. I was surprised it came with rollerblade wheels so that's cool. The base is nice the way to design it because it has no chance to catch your heels really when you're trying to move in the chair. I didn't need the fold-out leg rest and a lot of chairs have because they always seem very cheap and flimsy anyway and for tall people they don't really work that well so I always have a stool under my desk. If you're a tall person who needs good adjustment like me this is a great chair at a fair price. The only reason it loses a star is because the chair pad is pretty thin, and not that comfortable. Very comfortable chair for hot climates due to mesh. Deep seat. Palm width between seat and knees if 5'9". Able to put together without another person if place seat on sofa to install arms. Must flex chair arms to get holes to align. Glides well. Able to position lumber support and lock amount of rock to chair. Able to adjust height. Very good chair for playing instruments because arms rotate up out of the way of the instrument. Also works well for lumbar support when sewing. ... show more

Before I finally landed on this chair I read about a million articles with buying advice for ergonomic desk chairs, looked for second hand expensive chairs, read so many Amazon reviews. Obviously you can spend a whole lot of money on an ergonomic desk chair (even used ones), but I really didn't want to. I just bought this today, so the jury is out on long term wear, ,but I can say that the components feel solid, assembly was easy, it is *very* comfortable so far, and -- even more to the point -- VERY adjustable in so many different ways that physical therapists etc recommended in the articles I read. I am 5 foot 5; in order to put the chair at the right ergonomic height for my particular desk and keyboard, I need a footrest so my feet aren't dangling. But that would be the case with any chair in my setup. The headrest is great, the arms are soft and comfortable, the back support piece is perfect, and everything can be adjusted as you sit in it. Rollers are quiet and stable on laminate floor. The box was a good size and heavy enough (~32 lbs) to be awkward for an unfit middle aged lady to wrangle down apartment steps; however, the Amazon driver brought it straight to my door. The chair was carefully packed. Whoever wrote the assembly instructions (which are in English and Spanish) for this chair is some kind of technical writing genius -- I have never seen clearer or more easy-to-follow instructions. From slicing open the tape on the box to finished chair was 45 minutes for me. All you need for assembly is included -- also fabric gloves (for protecting your manicure? I guess?) and extra bolts and washers. Super buy. If I'd known I could get such an affordable and massive upgrade from my previous garbage chair I would have done it long ago. I was so excited to finally get a new chair for my desk at home. When it arrived, the delivery driver even walked it down the hall to my apartment for me. Once I brought it inside, I saw that the box was kind of badly taped up, but I didn't think much of it at first. Once I opened it, the items inside were haphazardly wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap, but again, it's a cheap chair from Amazon, so not too worried yet. Then I pulled out the little plastic envelope with the toolkit and gloves and that's when I realized that this was not a new chair. The gloves were dirty and had clearly been used before and the toolkit was open in several places. Ugh! All of the pieces were included and I didn't see any obvious damage on any of the parts. Plus, the thought of trying to send it back was too much, so I decided to move forward. The first step was attaching the legs which went fine. Then I needed to insert the wheels. Four of the wheels snapped in very easily. The 5th wheel, however, would not budge. I tried it several times and on different legs and it wouldn't move. I noticed the other wheels have a little groove on them and the stubborn one does not. It looks like someone might have tried to create a groove, but gave up. Needless to say, I was disappointed and frustrated. I reached out to Amazon through their chat feature. (I should note hear that the person I dealt with was extremely kind and efficient). After explaining the issue (and pointing out that the chair was an obvious prior return), I was offered the chance to return the item. I didn't really want to do that; I just wanted the wheel I needed. I was then offered a refund of $19.45 and provided a link to purchase new wheels which would cost $11.99 (before taxes and shipping). I explained that wasn't sufficient since after repurchasing the wheels, my actual refund would be about $7.00! I was then sent a new link for wheels that cost $7.99; offered a refund of $25.94; and told I could come back to request a refund for the wheels I after they were delivered. I decided to go with that option instead. I won't get the new wheels until tomorrow, but I went ahead and assembled the rest of the chair. There were no other problems with the assembly. I did it solo, so it took me about 45 minutes and it was pretty easy. I really like the chair itself. It looks nice and works well. I like the ability to recline a little and to flip the armrests up. The seat is nice and wide and I appreciate having a headrest. I'm still annoyed that I was sent a repackaged returned item, but I appreciate the customer service i received from Amazon to resolve the issue. ... show more

Good chair once put together, pain to assemble

The Good: sturdy chair with decent back support, easy to adjust with a seat wide enough for any body size. Moves easy across the floor, but for fairness, I replaced the normal caster wheels with rollerblade wheels - personal choice. The Bad: assembly, for the most part was easy and straight forward with the parts kit provided. I did encounter an issue when mounting the height adjustment plate to the bottom of the seat. The kit provides you with 4 medium small M6 bolts to attach the plate to the seat. The issue I encountered is the curve of the plate did not quite match the curve of the seat bottom; so I could get one of the provided bolts to go in easy. The other three holes, the bolt was not long enough to grab onto the bolt fitting in the seat. Fortunately, I save the "spare parts" from everything I've assembled over the years and had 3 slightly longer M6 bolts that were able to grab on and complete the assembly. I suspect with some manipulation and time, I could have gotten the shorter provided bolts to work. It was just easier to use the longer spares I had to avoid frustration. Also - the seat is comfortable and does its job sufficiently. If you are going to be seated for long, extended periods, I recommend getting a honeycomb add-on cushion for added comfort. ... show more
